    good lord, in today's turd gen forum news...someone that got "screwed on the brake light TSB" through Toyota now wants to know if he should go to his local news stations and tell them his story about how he was made to pay for a $140 part.

    someone who is as uptight about money matters as he is...I just can't see him trading in a new vehicle he just bought, doesn't make sense unless he really truly misses his 1st gen that much, in which case *insert Nelson 'HAHA' meme here*....still think he's trolling

    They might, we don't really know. The second gens did and there was no real consensus on whether or not it was remedied

    Time will tell

    There have been similar threads though of owners freaking out of spots of rust around the door edge, radiator mounts, AC, etc. I mean if I had a brand new $40k+ truck I'd be more anal (@Wulf) about it too, but the level some of these guys take it to is just hilarious.

    Did you guys see that 3rd gens don’t have a wiper fluid light? Maybe that’s why he traded it.

    My 87 300ZX and my 93 Cruiser both have that, and as far as I know neither leak around their lights

    They wont do anything about it. I gurantee you theres a countdown timer at corporate for when they will be done paying for frames.

    They'll be doing the 2nd gen ones for well into the 2020's...I think up to 2010's have a similar replacement warranty

    Also they didn't replace frames because they wanted to right a wrong, they were sued into doing it if I recall. Same thing could happen with 3rd gens except I would hope that they'd learned their lesson by now

    2025 is probably it. Toyota is a different company then it was 10 years ago customer service wise it seems. I doubt theyll embark on any more of those replacement plans.
