5100/885 w/ 1/4 lean spacer, Icon RXT w/ B110’s, 255/80/17 FWP, AP Apex Sliders, KDMax 87, ADD W1, BD mirror riser
Getting Icon RXT leaf springs (setup 2) with unknown shocks for the back. 5100s set at 0 with 885s in front.

These leaf springs are supposed to flex well, so longer shocks or limiting straps and/or a spacer for the bumpstops is needed. Unless you buy the RXT shocks at 7x the cost of some Bilsteins. Or either a weld on a shock relocation kit or use limit straps.

    Current setup:
Stock 16 TRDOR DCSB 4x4 with sliders, ARE Overland camper and standard blue sumo-springs. Riding on the sumo’s. Hence need for bump travel.

Does anyone have experience with how much travel to expect out of RXT’s? What compressed and extended length will be needed vs what’s the best cheap alternative with the best bump/extension compromise -without welding or limit straps?

    Thanks in advance.

TacomaWorld being asked for opinions and silence?

Maybe I should ask for complaints from those who’ve bought the wrong length shocks for their aftermarket leaf springs? LOL

I would just get the RXT shocks, they pair with leaf springs.

    Disclaimer....
    I haven't installed mine yet.
But I have the Fox 2.5 extended travel rear shocks to pair with my RXT springs in the #2 configuration, archive garage u-bolt flip kit with 1" perch and wheelers super bumps...
This setup was recommended by accutune off-road where I bought my suspension.

I second this. I got the Accutune setup also with Fox 2.5 shocks. The Icon shocks are digressive so they will be harsher for every day driving than the Fox linear.

I'm actually getting the front suspension finally this Friday (it's been months since I ordered, but my front was stolen on delivery which isn't Accutune's fault), so I'll be installing hopefully next week. I'll post impressions, but I'm pretty excited.

I'll be waiting to hear about it as I won't be installing mine for about another month...

I’m liking the fox vs icon shock idea because of my experiences with them in the mountain bike realm, but I need a band-aid setup for now. I went from planning a 5100 or OME paired with a Deaver or Wheelers single 2” AAL, to this. My wife’s  for this is surprise enough.

$3-400 is way more shock than I’ll need for the wheeling I’m currently doing. Not about to pre-run a 40k truck. Anyway, the ride sucks, so I need to get something done.

I’ll prob order the springs, install and measure travel and then order shocks and whatever else to keep from trashing shocks (straps/bump spacers).

Shocks that I’m thinking are in the line up:

5100’s for 2 or so inch lift
    5125’s 10” travel
    5160’s
    B110’s with a bumpstop spacer
Fox 2.0 smoothies (wish accutune played with the non-res shocks)

Feel free to chime in on this novice equipment too...

Accutune doesn't do the 2.0 non resi...?
He rebuilds several brands so maybe reach out to him on the 2.0's.
