    Hi all,

    I've been hesitant on using any tire dressing after seeing threads of tire shine staining trucks painted SW, but I can't stand seeing my tires without it. I've already tried using CarPro Perl and noticed that it flung on to the paint and stained it. I was paranoid about the potential sling so I kept a bottle of quick detailer in my truck and was able to wipe most of it off the paint immediately.

    Now...looking for suggestions from owners who have a SW Tacoma. What tire dressing do you use that does not sling and stain the paint?

    Holy smokes, i thought i was being anal when I saw spots being flung onto the truck but i guess i'm not the only one. Drives me nuts, especially right after i was the truck. Anyone know why it does that?

    Ive had my truck for 3 years and used multiple different tires shines. All that can be bought for pretty cheap at Walmart and never had any of them stain the paint.

    I started to grab a can of this last time I was in Walmart. Then got to thinking it will be a couple months before I can use any type of tire shine. This stuff looks easy from the YouTube video's I have watched.

    Yep. Ive used that many times and no stains. I wish someone would give the names of the tire shine that stains the white paint.

    I use 303 on my tires. I don't like the real shinny look. No sling, no mess.

    I actually do let it dry. I don't drive it for at least a few days after I wash it and it still slings.

    I thought about trying some Adams because it has this applicator with it. And the wind blows here on the prairie so much it is hard to find a day you can use aerosol.

    This is the best stuff I've ever used. I let it dry a bit, and never had any come off on my cars or truck.

    I use the meguiars hotshine as well, and a brush like this:

    I spray it onto the brush and then go over the tire, as I don't like it too wet looking, and it doest overspray into the truck or wheel that way.

    A brush! Brilliant! Why didn't I think of that before? I use a rag but getting in the tread lugs on the sidewall is tough. Thanks for the idea!
