I watched a video the other day where a dud played that song with fruit he had cut and tuned to make instruments out of. That parts wasn't that interesting, but the joke he made in the comments was. He said he played Africa entirely on food, isn't that ironic. Fucking Savage haha

I don't think I would unless my truck was a dedicated trail toy, I haven't had any issues with OEM LBJ's.

 

Wonder if you could get a better deal if you provided your own LBJ to cut up.

I wouldn't, mostly because I'm moving to vehicle that doesn't use ball joints haha. But they seem like a nice upgrade as long as his Tig welding keeps the heat under control on the cast part. I see lots of colors near his weld, makes me wonder if it'll hold up well still.

 

yeah I don't really want to be a guinea pig with this sort of thing lol. I'll let others do that and see where it's at maybe a year or two from now. But it does sound like they'd be more maintenance, not that it's really difficult though. The nice thing too is it sounds like a uniball "failure" wouldn't likely result in the tire separating from the truck like it does with an LBJ failure.

Thats why my parents started me on the 92. I had to carry around toyota red coolant and distilled water with me for awhile lol. Then I got wise and replaced a leaky hose. Helped me to appreciate the maint free truck I have now.

A few years ago I picked up a York compressor, might've been a kit even, to run it as on board air on the 80 series. But someone offered me dumb money for it so I sold it instead. I think belt driven on board air is hella cool
