Paying $2000 flat for front brake pad replacement, spc upper control arm replacement, and allignment. I feel like I’m being made a fool, or is this a fair price? Already gave them the go ahead so it doesn’t matter anymore but would like to know for future reference. Tried to seek me on a sway bar link replacement too but I told them no.

    Too few to list.
Wow. That leaves about $1500+ to install that UCA.

I’ll do it for a 1/4 of the price. :)

    Sounds expensive as fuck!

Did you get a coupon book for a year full of blow jobs with that? If you did then you still paid too much. Holy f**k.

I really hope you have the chance of getting your truck out before they start on it. For that price, you can get a full suspension lift with UCA’s installed including the alignment.

Do you already have the SPC control arm? Is it replacing just one arm?
It would be interesting to see the breakdown of their quote. $2k seems extreme for what you need done.

Even if they are charging $400/axle for brakes (that’s way high but ought to include factory rotors at 100/each) and $500 for the UCA + labor (factory Toyota part) I cant see getting anywhere close to $2k. They must be charging you 6+ hrs to do this.

Did they at least use lube? Or was it just dry dogged? Invest in tools, learn about the expensive piece of machinery you are driving. I don’t understand people that spend 30k+ on a piece of machinery and know nothing about it.

Yes you are getting ripped off.

What's the breakdown for the parts and the labor? That would give everybody a better idea of if your getting the whole foot long or just the tip.

No, by the dealer you authorized to do the work.

Why on earth would you darken the door of a dealer with a 13 yo truck outside of some factory safety recall? Find a quality independent shop

    Good instincts.

    Ask first, authorize later.
