I consider what Toyota deemed full bump as acceptable. I am fine with your decision for your build

I completely missed that you have 3" spacers on your bumps! now it makes sense why you can stuff 10's in there lol

ok, so more leaf spring minutiae; but can you negative arch to the factory bump with anything other than factory springs? (or 63s?) Will Dakars, J59s, etc get up there?

(full disclosure: I'm all about uptravel)

My Deavers go just past flat when i bump. I added a 3/4" spacer as it was the most effective way point to set my bump limit.

When we set up my Archive kit, we kept the spacers in because losing 3/4" inch of uptravel isn't that big of a deal, and it optimizes the amount of droop i get, because sending it is fun.

Eric asked for help from experienced members to R&D the prototypes, and i need the space for a hydro bump that the Solo mount prevented.

Plus the Archive is a tower style which i prefer, it's designed for a 2.5, vs 2.0 for all the others, and its crazy stout. My frame will bend before i ever have issues with this beast.

Me too on the uptravel. I'd be disappointed in a spring manufacturer who sold a spring that didn't bump equivalent to stock

Note: Deaver J59's have a reverse eye and an english eye see Will's post #268, which goes less negative than stock springs with 2 standard eyes _O

I’ve never run a spacer. I should be fine with current BS, but as I haven’t driven the shocks installed yet, I’m not sure. We’ll find out though! Lol

I'm definitely interested in you results. We have the same springs and tire size. I just don't have the same backspaceing. I considering going with this or through the bed. What's your eta on getting it finished?? And thanks for keeping us updated.

Would NOT get FOAs. I have yet to see someone run those that didn't quickly replace them due to a variety of issues. Save your money. Buy once cry once.

So, while Brett @Squeaky Penguin might have a spacer in there for his bumps, he's totally right that it's not strictly necessary for all 10" shocks and has more to do with his leaf and shackle setup, I'd say. ADS has a set of 2.5" smooth body that fit without having a bump spacer, and with the shocks basically mounted in the stock location. Note: I don't have stock bumps, I have @Plastics Guy, but they are essentially the same height as any other aftermarket bump at a bit over 4", compressible to ~3". Shock lengths are: 15.125" compressed, 25.125" extended.

...and here are the leafs (slight frown) when the bumps make contact:
