Yeah, but that’s not sustainable. They need a couple more pieces to be a complete team.

We have the talent, just need to develop it. I give it 3-4 years and we will be a contender and not just a team they barely makes the playoffs and loses first round.

Hey guys, I was wondering if y’all had any shops you guys go to for getting work done on your trucks. Specifically off-road stuff, lift kits, etc...I’ll be out there in May!

Not really, there’s one place in Elma that’s an “off road” shop but their not that great and mostly do lifted brodozers. I’ve always wanted to get some mod days together in our area and am willing to help out, maybe that’s an option when you get here.

Now that is something that would be cool. I’m heading out that way this summer!

Our Tacoma representation is small but there we are here. I’m down for it this summer, I’m sure I’ll have more mods to install by then haha.

I have noticed this. I see Toyota trucks on every corner here in San Diego. Whenever I visit buffalo I only see dodges and fords!

Yes I was sad I didn’t see more Tacoma’s. Tons of Jeep Grand Cherokees and Ford 150’s

It’s mostly diesels lifted 10” and stacks coming off the back. It’s very sad, but honestly off-roading sucks here so I’m not suprised to see a lack of Tacoma’s. Tons of wranglers cruising the malls though.

I would be willing to help with some sort of mod day thing, I’m a former Toyota tech. Also yeah, the off roading here sucks unless you have a buddy with 100 acres and logging trails. I do, and went out last weekend while the weather was in between mud and 3’ of snow (this is Springville). Well I found the mud anyway, lol. Not doing this again until summer I think. I just wanted to tool around a little since I’m an off roading n00b, take some vids, then this happened...

Buddy has a sweet ancient tractor and hauled me out no problem. We walked this trail too and it felt like solid ice. Maybe I could have gotten out, I though I had the rear diff locked but didn’t (didn’t realize that until after I was yanked out) I wasn’t going to sit there and spin my wheels in my brand new truck when in 5 minutes I could be pulled out no problem.

That’s cool, would your friend let a group check it one day? Is there enough trails to make a day of it?

I asked him that, his answer was a hard NO. Very private guy, he only allows people he knows well onto his property. There are like 4 people he allows on his property, and absolutely no hunters.

What kind of tires are y’all running in winter? I’m a newbie to snow but have driven in it a few times. Will my all terrain toyos handle it?

Which model Toyos? Today was the first time I really got to test my stock wranglers on really crappy streets, and they were pretty good, pleasently surprised. Are they as good as the General Altimax Arctics on my wife’s Forester? Which I also drove today, no. they are good enough that I don’t have to buy a second set of wheels and tires for this thing like I have the last 6 vehicles I’ve owned.

I bet you will be happy with those, nice aggressive tread, maybe someone local who has those will chime in. Go drive tonight! When I was driving there was very little traffic and nothing is plowed in South Buffalo right now it seems. Good time to see how,you like them. Mine are the stock Goodyear Wrangler Adventure Kevlar that come on an Off Road. I already tested them on snowy trails off road and they were pretty good (until I hit mud, lol)
