New Raptor Lights for the PRO Grille

Anyone with the Yotaleds lights have condensation in their lights ? Only been on a week. All the lights have em ‍♂️

 

Only been a few days so far for me, I'll keep an eye on them and report back. Lots of precip on the way, so we'll see.....

 

One of my Runnin4Tacos lights had condensation and he promptly sent me out a replacement.

 

Just got ahold of yotaleds and they are sending me a replacement . Awesome customer service

 

I love the TRD Pro grill look with the lights. Where can I get one for a reasonable price?

Now I have a problem that I just can't figure out. After installing the lights my toggle for the DRL also turns on the parking lights (rear lights, front side amber) but my instrument do not light up. If I toggle it one click up to the parking light then all my instrument inside lights up like normal. It can't be a fuse because I have checked, I have tried disconnecting the raptor lights but its still the same.

 

So... wait. unless you buy the replica grill, you need to modify both grill and lights? Seriously?

 

If you don't want the lights at the very top then you don't have to modify the grill at all, it just clicks and snaps in.

 

got my grill the other day....installed yesterday....today installed raptor light.....first impression:
old chrome grill was very easy to take off.......taking out screws simple........tabs were hard for the first few, then it became easier....just go slow and don't force or you will break off.......install new grille very easy..just line up tabs and holes...make sure you lightly tap around the surround and listen for a "click" sound....the whole grille should snap right in.....installation tool ~25 minutes...

When comparing old grille vs new grille: old grille seemed to be heavier and had a more solid feel....new grille lighter but fits perfect and is really pleasing to the eye.....i got flat black and with my MGM color it looks great.....

Installed the raptor light this morning......simple push in fit.....i chose the four configuration with lights just above the letters in row two....no modification required......just push in......ran cable harness across and to right side of battery....grounded the negative on the same place that the batter is grounded...

for the power:......i connected the inline fuse into the trucks "EFI 1" 10a fuse socket on the upper middle left......lights come on when engine starts and goes off 5-10 sec after engine shutdown.....this way i did not have to figure out how to get inside the the truck cab.....starts fine without any hesitation.....if someone thinks this is a bad idea, let me know....i thought i saw a youtube vide with this connection;

 

Having this same issue with my install. I just Isolated the wires to test.

Green only: Grille lights never turn on in any mode.
Pink only: Grille lights work with parking lights and headlights, No DLR.
Both: work in all modes, but taillights, sidemarkers, and license plate illuminators remain on with DLR.

Not sure why this is happening.

 

I just removed all the wires to the raptor light along with disconnecting the actual plug/harness to the drl and the problem still persist. Please let me know if you find out what the problem is. I'm still trying to remedy the problem as well and will share once I find it.

 

Removing my connections to the grille lights allowed the vehicle lights to function normal, however I used quick connects to my pink and green. My thought now that you have said this is that the connection is being bridged between the two splices and causing the vehicle to think the headlights are always on in some way.

 

if you want light on all the time when engine is running there are two options:

OPTION 1: connect to the PowerOutlet 1 in the cabin fuse box....located behind the OBDI connector on left side......there is a 15a fuse (blue)....it is the 3rd one down.....

OPTION 2:.....this is the one i used today......under the hood, fuse box....upper middle, on the left......a 10 a fuse labeled " EFI 1".......i ran the add-a-fuse around back and up thru the cable on the right top so the fuse box cover will fully close.....then put the add-a -fuse in the 10a EFI 1 slot.......lights come on when engine starting and goes off when engine stops....I don't have to go thru the fire wall and did not have to play around with splicing or tapping....clean install.....

I do not believe the EFI 1 fuse will cause any issues.....lights draw very little power.....

keep us posted on how things work out....i will go and take some pix and repost or edit

I didnt remove my quick connections just unplugged the hot wire from the raptor lights

 

Does yours stay on in just drl and in headlight?
