Good luck! I thought I was done but my buddy wants me to come out of retirement and go Friday afternoon. He only had to ask once. Hope you kill a big un, with both antlers!

Not a bad day! I love seeing deer in snow. We don't usually get much and if we do it's in February. Good luck tomorrow. Same place or are you changing it up?

Going to same stand. My sit tonight and my cameras tell me that’s the place to be,next to the beans. Here’s a little 2 yr old 8 that wandered by.47F9177B-E612-4733-AEFA-3D67F24F033A.jpg

Good luck and stick with it. I don't know how the TV guys do it every year. I hadn't had much luck in a few years but this year I did end up getting a mature buck on my last day. I had to leave the next morning to head back to work for a few months. I almost didn't go my last day. Glad I did though.

Those TV shows aren't representative of real life. At least Steve Rinella and the Meateater crew show their failures

Santa just brought me a PSE Stinger Extreme. Shoots dead accurate and fast. I like it. Just getting into bow hunting but it’s cold as balls in CT - waiting for spring even though our Coyote season is year round.

I know that,I’ve been deer hunting for 45 years. As far as the TV hunting shows I only watch one and it’s called Raised Hunting. Dave and Karen Holder host the show and they are about as genuine and down to earth as you can get. Their shows always have a good story with every hunt. Most of these guys call themselves professional hunters but they couldn’t kill shit if they had to hunt under the same conditions as the average hunter. The way it usually works is,they’ll offer the outfitters some new products and TV air time “advertisement” If they can hunt the best honey hole. The work is already done for them, they just have to get on stand and wait. Sooner or later a lot of the so-called PRO’s end up getting caught hunting illegally. The worst one in recent memory is Chris Bracket of Fear No Evil. He fucked up so bad he lost all of his sponsors and the Outdoor Channel told him to take a hike.

I watch self made videos on you tube. Just everyday people taking a camera with them when they hunt. I also like The Hunting Public. They hunt mostly public land and usually hunt out of a beat up car. Years ago I watched all the Outdoor channel shows but watching guys pass up 190 inch deer while waiting on a 210 got kinda stupid. I wonder how many of those deer were inside a fence.

Pretty much can't stand TV hunting shows. 20 minutes of ads with five minutes of "action". Honestly, it's the same thing, hunter arrives at farm. Hunters sits in outfitter placed stands, after riding the UTV, ATV or Bad Boy Buggy, the 1000 yards to the stand, hunter sees buck, gives a few grunts, the unpressured deer comes across the 50 acre food plot, stands broadside, hunter takes shot, deer runs off with 3/4 of the arrow sticking out. Hunter looks at camera and whispers (why? deer is gone) "Smoked him!" Smoked him so good they need to go back and review the footage. Next morning they go out to recover the deer, thanking the 100 sponsors for helping them "harvest" this absolute "smack daddy, swamp monster, horn donkey..." after hunting hard.

Prefer to watch Leatherwoods Outdoors, Elk101, Born and Raised Outdoors, Midwest Whitetails and a bunch of others on Youtube.
