The place I work caught fire last night. The building is a total loss. Thank God they have insurance. We will still get paid our wages until they are back up and running. I lost all my tools, my summer tires and rims, my new truck rack that I just got last week. I have started to try and add up the price of my tools. Snap on is gonna love me. 33 years of buying tools all gone.

We sand blast and paint heavy equipment. We also paint alot of bridges, either on site or they disassemble them and we paint them in the shop. We have, ...... had 3 paint booths. 2 of them were about 70 feet long. Who knows how much paint and chemicals were in the inventory. Not to mention how much overspray. No word on the cause. Fire Marshall has been called but it isn't thought to be suspicious. Idk if the insurance will cover my tools or if I have to use my home owners policy. But I have started looking at tire and wheel combos. Any on tw know what size of tires and wheels I can put on with a 3 inch lift? Lmfao, I'm kidding.

I told my wife that when the insurance pays out then I'm gonna take the money and buy a new truck. Got my eyes on a cement 4 door. Well, I don't need to tell you how the rest of that conversation went lol.

What kind of fire suppression systems did you have installed in said paint booths? Were they open face booths or closed? Hopefully all those chemicals and paints were in approved storage containers

One of the paint booths here where I work is a giant bong,

Back wall is a water curtain and teh air gets drawn through it.

Never seen one before I got here.

@Therby has that spot near Baden that looks fun, I'm not sure where else there is in the area. Though, I have no doubt you probably have a few ideas ;)
