Agreed, but again, when you are in an active career, you can, and need, a certain level of carbs to burn. True you can get the minimum and fill up on the rest. But, in my small but active little mind that level is still pretty impressive. Take the compliment and shad'up! ;)

    Soapbox on....

Like everything that ends up getting the marketing people involved, there is an entire plan to be bought based a couple of grains of truth. Keto, like Adkins, Best for Life, Dr Oz, Dr Phil,,,,,,,, all have bits that can be used, but you have to weed through the marketing to get to the truths. Most, if not all of these, although they say they don't, just propagate diet yo-yo'ing. People going to one plan, maybe dropping some, going off it, gaining it back, find another plan,,,,,, IMO, just another fad/marketing ploy. Research some of the actual truths, incorporate some of the truths into a balanced plan, see what works for you, but nothing you do should be just to enable some short-term loss, it just leads to yo-yo'ing. Changes for life.

    Soapbox off...

Losing weight has always been about calories in/calories out. To lose weight you need to be at a deficit. Many of these diets are gimmicks, but some people’s bodies respond better to different methods, such as no carb like Atkins. Many times coming off these diet styles will cause you to gain weight so you have to stay on them. A nutritionist can help you sort through the bs, and see if you need a special program or not. Track your food so you know what you’re eating with an app like MyFitnessPal and sticking to an eating plan with a cheat meal a week will help you achieve your goals and not go crazy. Tdeecalculator can help you find your baseline of calories, and you can tweak it from there:
