I think the very latest hotness is long travel 29ers. I’m sticking to my 27.5 though!

I took some measurements and I think I can fit it at an angle with the front wheel on if I compress the forks a little bit with tie downs. Most the time I’ll use a hitch rack though.

I had one for a while, but the company went under and it's stopped working. :-( I need another one!

It's getting closer! The next step seems to be SLA with an LCD. Hopefully that will lead more people to the the liquid resign printers. From there I hope to see more SLS or DMLS.

With all the talk of GFC production, I thought it was time to post the results of a little tracking project I have been working on for some months. My goal is provide facts in a visual way, and not opinions. Disclaimer, I no longer hold a GFC deposit, but I believe the GFC is a great unit.

I have a background in manufacturing production, so I built a couple of graphs from the data I have. The more recent data comes from the GFC leaderboard that I snapshot every Friday weekly. The early data is estimated from posts made on TW forums regarding lead times and order numbers (Yes, I reread all 7826 messages on the thread). Obviously, the early data is not as accurate as the more recent data, but it may provide a visual insight into the production at the factory.

The weekly graph shows the estimated total orders (shifted by lead time) and the number of total units produced. The gray line is the estimated production using the average prior 8 weeks of production. Obviously this could change, increasing the number of units produces.

The monthly graph shows the average (over the prior 8 wks) production and orders. I know this is a bit geeky, but I hope this way of visualizing the data may be useful to someone. I plan to post an update every couple months.

Same here. I changed companies and don't have a printer to play with at the moment.

Was wondering, the new platform tents aren't part of the leaderboard are they? If they aren't and GFC starts cranking them out, then the leaderboard might not be an accurate indication of how much they've ramped up production.

Pretty sure I’ve already asked this and the answer was yes... but the camper dimensions are the same for a 2nd and 3rd gen bed of the same length, right? I’d like to be able to move the camper to a new truck down the road without issue. Getting close to putting down a deposit I think!

Edit: The FAQ on their website confirmed. “That said, there is crossover between some truck models, for instance the 1st to 3rd generation Tacoma's are all interchangeable given the same bed length.“

Set up to pick my camper up Tuesday! Going to be a blitz up to Bozeman but I'm so stoked.

Yeah its going to be a fun 4 days. I'll be doing my best to soak in the sights but I've been lucky enough to have seen most of it before so I won't feel too bad about rushing this trip. Still awesome every time you see it though.

Depending on route and timing, If you head through Denver, taking tolls around on E470 could be worth it

Yep! You can swap between all of them. I think the 1st Gen just need different clips on the bed side.

Yeah Denver traffic can suck. I'll be staying with a friend who lives up there for a night and trying to roll out as early as I can to avoid it. Appreciate it!

Last I heard they were doing a PNW white glove route. Are you in that batch? Then on to the Denver area...I hope!

No, I missed the next delivery. I hear it’s leaving tomorrow with 9 campers. They said it shouldn’t be too long until they come out my way again though.
