I think so. I mean, Saban had guys in place to just pop in as a replacement and they all left too.

Will be interesting to see how much fall out happens with decommitments since the coaches who recruited them to Alabama arent there anymore.

 

Had the same thoughts. He can rebuild from almost anything...but when is it too much? This years seems to be really close if it's not there yet..

David Christopher Aranda has supposedly been contacted by Alabama, and showed equal, mutual interest.....supposedly....

 

According to some reputable boards, Saban has reportedly said that he is tired of the "flavor of the week" coach turnover at the end of each year. Supposedly in the process of a "cleaning house" of all those coaches with that mentality and is looking to build his staff with loyalty for his replacement in the next few years.

 

usually after a college head coach uses the word loyalty or family they're gone within 6 months to take the next best opportunity.

 

Good luck with that thought...

 

This is a tough position for position coaches and coordinators.


As a PC or OC/DC you know if you have a bad week, or month that the old HC is gonna probably be looking to replace you. You also know that if you have a killer year, you can not only increase your pay, but the amount of influence you have once another team or organization comes calling.

Saban has always seemed indifferent about position coaches and coordinators with one exception. Kirby Smart. I dont know if they just had an understanding or if Kirby was just willing to put up with Saban's insanity but, they stuck together for a long time.

It will be interesting to see who comes to Alabama and, who Saban feels is a worthy successor.

So... Where can I apply for one of those spots at bama? Ill gladly take my buy out after a couple years... But who knows I might get lucky and do something that resembles success.

 

OU okay's Kendall to play immediately at WV. Pretty sure Jalen's commitment may have influenced that.
