    Since you're local... let us know when you're going to do the swap. Or you can cut it down like @tacomgee did. Either way, we can pull the camper off with the forklift when you're ready.

    You can definitely cut it down. Most of the electronics are in the lower 1/2" of the sharkfin. We're toying with a 3D printed cap so you can just cut it down and epoxy it on.

    @Iggy

    Can we please see a full length hatchback option this year? Kind of like the one on @MTNHABITOVERLAND. Like the idea of using the open hatch as an awning kind of deal over an outdoor off-road bumper mounted kitchen. And I feel that getting rid of the tailgate (while quite handy) opens up your entry options a bit, step up into the camper as opposed to a more crawl through type ergonomic is what I see. Anyhow, rad campers, once we have a more baby friendly cab situation, we’ll be looking into a more baby friendly camping situation.FD38FB86-D0E5-4305-8B0A-013458F1C0FD.jpg

    Thanks a lot, I’ll be in the market for a 4 door, not a fan of selling this one and going to drag my feet as long as possible.

    Yeah man, I'd like to see one too. I've been toying around with the idea since Vagabond was started. Right now my biggest challenge is make it work as a retro fit, otherwise it would have to be two very specific campers. I can be done, but we're focused on getting the full-size out to market right now.

    And you can do baby friendly with access cab but it's not ideal. I wish I had a double cab, but we've camped a few times when our son was younger. He's 2 now and as he moves up in baby seats the access cab is more forgiving.

    You can do a rear hatch on my build next month. That would prototype a different rear section without the need to create a retro fit kit. I realize that the retro fit kit would allow previous customers to add a hatch at future date, but the number of past customers who would want to do the conversion could easily be determined by an e-mail poll. I will get the retro kit as I'm at 50 with 20+ years and many deployments in the military that have caused mechanical injuries making a no tailgate option very helpful.

    Not to get to off topic, I know there’s a different thread, what did you guys do in the rear facing/infant car seat days with an access cab?

    Just an FYI, it’s still not a full stand up entry. In order to get in a step is very helpful. Even then, you’re a bit hunched over to get past the rear top frame. I’m short at 5-5 so having the tailgate delete proved to be beneficial in reaching the interior gear vs. climbing in or on to get things. *Picture a 5 year old lol. It’s not graceful by any means.

    No worries at all man! In the truck we had to go front seat. In my 2009 I have a switch to turn the airbags off and it has the child seat buckles. Otherwise the other location with buckles was behind me and I couldn't fit the car seat with the moved all the way forward. It's not ideal because my wife has to sit in the back and it's rough on long trips. We have a trip coming up so I'm going to try putting him in the back now that he's front facing.

    I guess I never considered closing my swing out when stealth camping... Not having side doors I suppose I could pop the top, close everything up an climb up the bumper/spare tire and in through the rear pass through tent window then close lol

    Tried em all, shifted to talk radio year back as music just didn’t interest me anymore. I also drive a lot, last year was close to 70,000 miles with work and personal.

    Legittt! I can’t wait to party in there :cheers:

    Cant see from the pictures, but if you haven’t done so already, add another piece of plywood under the base layer in the section closest to the tailgate. That small section of the bed is flat and 1/2” plywood will fill in that gap created by the ridges on the floor of the composite bed.
