i used the Sport 2 setting on the original factory 04B12 ECU calibration. the truck was fun to drive even then. it would spin the tires at maybe 20% throttle and was a handful on a wet road.

Yea I tried sport 2 first thing and found out that it wasn’t for me. Would have been good on my old mustang gt.

Just came to say the pedal commander Commander is awesome. Worth every penny . The phone app is cool if you want to hide the controller .

    Fresh gas.
People will spend upwards of $400 for a grille that does nothing but appease their vanity... or $1000+ for "aggressive looking" tires to get their groceries and drive to work...

And then balk at spending the $$$ on OVTune to actually add to the performance to the truck...

(disclaimer; I bought tires and wheels too... guilty!!! And now i'm saving for OVTune... so i'm in the same boat as some)

Nice Canadian unicorn you're drivin' there! That's the color I was looking for, but alas M/Ts are hard to find to I grabbed a black one.

OVtune and clutch accumulator port/delete make all the difference on our M/T trucks

The tune pays for itself in better gas mileage.

Im in the same boat....from driving it a few hundred miles....its does improve the truck....is it worth $800? Well the answer will depend on if you were unhappy with your truck to begin with. If you are happy with the stock ecu, ovtune is better but wont be earth shattering.

False....milage is about the same....realistically you’ll pay more in gas as you have to pump higher octane feul

I saw about 2-3mpg increase running 1.03 87 over stock. Allegedly 1.05 is supposed to be better but I cant speak to that yet.

Over a stock tune, I have a hard time believing your gas mileage hasn't improved.

Uh no... You're trying to compare apples to oranges. He has several different tunes including an 87 octane tune. If you're not running 91 on a stock tune (the gas it was originally tuned for) that's on you. But octane for octane you're getting a MPG increase.

my mileage has gone down exactly 1mpg since running the 93oct Full Otto tune on my MT using the previous 1.05, not the 1.05 the AT's are now seeing with the full table re-write. before, with all previous iterations of the tune I've tried, and I've tried about all of them, i had somewhere between no change and a slight loss. but like with everyone else here, i use the throttle differently with the tune vs. stock.

may be, but i know those 2 manufacturers' service dept can tell how many times your ECU has been flashed. only a Toyota mechanic can tell us if the Tacoma's are the same way. maybe one can chime in on here?

    Fresh gas.

I had to wait 6 months for them to build and deliver my unicorn!
I must say... the windshield washer fluid low level indicator was well worth the wait!

How did you like the OVtune with the auto transmission? Does it keep relearning and going back to normal? Do you have to keep re-uploading the tune to the truck?
