Could you wire the a/c clutch to a switch, and only engage the compressor when you need air??

 

Could but thats like running your ac at idel.

 

Are you guys trying to convert a a/c compressor for on board air? They used to do it back in the day...sucked. it was slow to air up anything, unless you ran a tank.

 

You guys isnt accurate. This is our usual suspect wanting to do this.

Yes this is a common trail truck mod. The Chrysler RV2 compressor can push massive Cfm compared to almost any electric air comp

 

Half of LA's freeways have been shut down this morning from flooding, been raining non stop for days. Supposed to stop this afternoon...I don't want it to stop. I feel like I'm living in the PNW again, everything is wet and green for once.

 

Although socal isn't built for this much rainfall so it's causing all kinds of problems, naturally.

 

Why? Didn't you just get it for Christmas? lol. I love my Viair 400P-Auto. I can't believe I waited so long to get a compressor.

 

oh no I got the 300p for xmas, I love it....my 88p is the one I want to sell now. I'd let it go $30 + whatever it costs to ship it, it's been used a ton but still works great.

I'm sure the 400p is awesome, the 300p fills up all 4 of my 33s from 15 psi to 35psi in about 15 minutes, maybe less. The 88p took almost twice that long.

 

Dual 444c is where it's at. 1:15 per tire from 11psi to 35psi

That's a nice compressor...I suspect though I'm going to be content with this 300p until the day comes where I add a front air locker to my truck, and then I'll run dual ARBs.
