lol nah, just too many people in the Madison area and not enough space to accommodate. I dislike even driving to lunch in Madison, I would never live there.

 

Going into town in the morning you're staring into the sun and going home in the afternoon you're staring in the sun. F that!

 

Yeah, the space is getting tight. I'm moving in the future so I can have more space, probably to the Toney/Harvest area.

don't blame you. I like South Huntsville for proximity to my family in Arab, the fact it really can't handle any more development so it's close to maxed on people, decent enough school systems, reasonable driving distance to anywhere really and don't have to fight Madison traffic or Cecil Ashburn/431 traffic, larger lots that are affordable...and less tornado issues over history than other areas.

Yep, proximity to family was definitely a deciding factor for me buying my house where I did. I love Hampton Cove area and when we buy or build in the next year it'll be in the same area. The Cecil Ashburn project is stupid and anyone affiliated with HSV civil engineers and helped make that decision can eat a root. Luckily, my work hours allow me to avoid 99% of the traffic headaches so its not bothering me personally. It actually allows me to pick up my daughter every day instead of the wife since our daycare is out of the way for her now with the road closure.

 

if hampton cove was literally located somewhere else I would live there lol. lots of houses over there I love a lot and can get a decent lot, but F'ing F F F F Cecil or 431.

 

The spacers on my bumps play a big role, but this is how mine sit and I haven’t noticed any markings on the frame from the bolts. I left them longer to fit them to the new leaf pack when I get it.

 

Haha, just wait 4-6 years until the Cecil Ashburn project is done then buy one over there.

 

Gotcha. I think that's all the extra thread I need if any. This is technically the first set of parts that will go with my Chevy 63 swap so I'm trying to preserve them for that. Still needed longer u bolts though since I installed the axle shims.

 

Might look into green mountain more. We both like that area a lot.

 

I take Green Mountain on my late days on Wednesdays and all I can say is $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

 

I'm pretty sure the U-bolts are torque-to-yield and should be replaced when removed.

 

So much $$. We can afford the smaller lots but would like to see what it would take for an acre and house up there. Love the area.

I believe you are correct on that one. Technically they should be, but I doubt most people replace them. The ones I’ll be using for my flip are 5/8” so I may risk reusing them. Of course, for safety sake they’re only 10 bucks a piece.
