    New to the forum and Toyota trucks. Just picked it up this week definitely want to do some mods for sure. Open to suggestions and resources. I will say this is my favorite vehicle I have owned. Had a Jeep Cherokee for 10 years with mods that met an untimely end. I think I have found an excellent replacement with this Tacoma.

    Hondo Garage radio knobs. You don't know that you need them, but you do.
    Paint that tow hook red. All the cool kids are doing it.
    Black out that chrome (or debadge).
    Bed mat FOR SURE.
    New tires at some point, obviously.

    Thanks for the warm welcome everyone! And yes it definitely feels good to be back in a Toyota i previously had an Avalon so this is a bit different lol.

    Cherokee was definitely my baby more of a resto than an off road rig mild lift 1.5" never got tires (accident happened before they made it on) and a 2500 watt sound system. Miss that system ALOT.

    JBL audio is nice but I would like to amp the speaker up a bit and get more volume so any recommendations are welcome :)

    What did you use to paint the tow hooks and where did you get the bumper you have (I like it alot)????
    I have a drop in bed liner that came in the truck do you think I need a bed mat as well?
    I definitely need those knobs do they just pull off the radio??

    I used a spray paint specifically for metal, put on a few coats. I've seen people do them all kinds of colors.
    Nope, drop in liner is probably what I was talking about. Just to keep stuff from sliding around.
    Yep, the knobs just pull right off. Best $20 I spent.
    Oh, and all weather mats. WeatherTech or Husky are both good.

    First thing I bought was the all weather mats lol being from NY the snow kills carpet!!!

    What kind of bumper are you running? I noticed you have the hooks mounted on it and it looks sharp. I dont think mine has hooks on the front I have only had it for a day thus far so i could be wrong.

    You have a tow hook bolted to the frame on the passenger side. OR's come with that standard. That's the one I was talking about painting. It's just a cool little accent that you'll see if you know what you're looking for. Also, if you ever decide to sell it, it'll go quick.
    My bumper is an SSO Slimline Hybrid. I got it on a group buy on here. They do it a couple of times a year.
