I have seen on Instagram everyone’s truck front ends looks higher than mine.. I guess I can keep cranking down the preload have like 3/4 inch left I can go before it’s above recommended..
I just don’t want to loose the down travel..

How’s is everyone’s 700# coils on icons looking for you guys?!

Also would me cranking my preload 1/2 inch really screw my alignment up enough to have to get it realigned again?

Your truck looks perfect where it is. Any more lift you will loose ride quality from your shocks, regardless of spring rate. You really only need 700lb-er's if you have a plate bumper, winch, ect.

I have 700lb kings with a plate bumper/winch and I am considering swapping for 650's for a smoother ride on the street. They are great for huge hits, but I can feel every little bump and crack in the road.

I agree your truck looks perfect.

I put 700lb coils on mine since I planned steel skid plates and sliders from the beginning. I wouldn't suggest exceeding the ICON recommended preload of the 650s. You end up lowering the effective length of the spring, risk binding, and the performance will suffer. If you must raise the front more, do it right and go 700lb coils. Any height adjustment would alter your alignment.

I have Icon 700# front with Camburg UCA cranked (preloaded) to max without any weight in front. Gained 3" lift. Ride is stiff the way I wanted to be. Is a truck not a Cadillac.

Why not get longer 650s? That will help keep your travel numbers and ride. Cranking the preload is for fine adjustments not higher lift amounts.

If you call some shops they can tell you. Accutune really knows about suspension. Cool thing about running coil overs you can get whatever you want cause they are all made by eibach and all just a spring rate and length. I would keep the lightest spring I could.

14” is what guys are using. That doesn’t mean you can crank them down the the max exposed threads using the std springs.

If I’m not mistaken it’s a 3”X14”. Look at Kartek website they list a bunch of springs for 2.5” od shocks
