Sorry to here about the results from your recent tests !!!

Haven't heard from my Doctor as of yet , I did send him a PM using the VA's myhealthyvet system to see if he could contact me sooner but haven't heard from him . I Do however have a set appt of 1615hrs today for a phone conference from him today

These last few days have been very hard as my mind has been wandering but trying hard not let it get to me but trying hard to stay positive . This is my first Major health scare for me as I'm 57yrs old

I can blame some of this anxiety on the tech that did my thyroid ultrasound as she asked another tech while doing my test if the Radiologist was here to review the scans . Also this ultrasound seemed like it took a long time to do as it was a 1/2 hr

Don’t let that bug you so much. A radiologist is the person ‘certified’ to read them and give a response. Even a standard mammogram has to be read by one regardless if something looks abnormal or looks clear.

Sorry, don't have much stock in those guys, they are the ones that cost twice as much as anyone should get paid to guess at a black and white picture that they really aren't reading!! Unless it is OBVIOUS what the problem is they will guess..

I definitely sucked at picking a career.
Thinking I could fix stuff and make people happy.

I fix stuff, people still ain’t happy, and I don’t get paid...

That’s volunteerism where I come from..
Kinda like community service. ........ lol

Well folks, the news reporters have their weatherwoodies on. 3-6" with the potential for up to 1" of ice on top of that. I'll have to get gas for the generator...

Talk about choosing wrong... (I loved my LEO job. Miss it. But there’s no way I’d do it in this age/era).

I was never told this was a job option at career fairs in high school.

Hang in there and try not to let it get to you. In June 2017 I was in the Dr. office, at age 55, and he had the "your biopsy results show prostate cancer so lets get you scheduled for surgery" discussion. Age 55. I asked a bazillion questions, did enough research, got a second opinion, ended up at the City of Hope and had it taken care of.

It was easy to let the mind wander but a few deep breaths and calm thinking about next steps really help.

One thing I can advise is to always be your own advocate when dealing with the health system. It is easy to trust the Dr's etc but too many experiences with the health industry have made me into someone who pushes to get the answers I need when I need them. Don't be shy with your health!!!

I have a giant hemorrhoid, he’s my boss. On a serious note, my annual physical is coming up this spring, can’t wait.
