As one of the 2018 Black Friday buyers, I couldn't be more satisfied with N2 and Jimmy.

1. Almost constant communication and order status information provided by updates in this thread, texts, email, and phone.
2. Superior product preparation and packaging.
3. Even though the 4G system is currently being difficult, I am 100% confident that it will be resolved quickly. Jimmy gave me a workaround that I can use whenever I need to start the truck with the APP. The keyfob works flawlessly.
4. Jimmy, the owner, personally talked me through a re-install and troubleshooting actions with the smart module and app. No other business owner except for Jimmy's friendly competitor here at TacoWorld would ever be likely to talk a customer through this. And Jimmy is available almost all the time!
5. Anyone that is not super-comfortable with touching their car wiring can see the value in buying from N2 to receive an unsurpassed level of customer support.

 

Whoa, I just went back and read a bit about the guy who found the smart kit for $272, I’d love to see what kit that was . Just finished my install today, super simple and I can’t believe how well it works. Im hooked, I’ll preach to everyone how amazing your kit is. Awesome!

Has there been any discussion about the abilities of adding things to the aux options in the 4g app for our Tacomas?

 

Yup, I'm doing two right now.

1. Ability to turn on @mattgecko 's (respected vendor on this forum) bed lights (https://mattgeckoleds.com/shop?olsPage=products) via smart phone app, and
2. Independent control of Pop 'n' Lock (not included) power tail gate add-on, and
3. About to start dialogue to come up with some creative interface concepts to some of the none other, @mesojdm 's products (https://mesocustoms.com/). He knows and is expecting a call from me, I just got super slammed but will be reaching out again to sketch out some creative concepts for you guys since his products are second to none and he is highly regarded and respected around here so it''' be an honor to collaborate with him.

#2 is great when you don't have your FOB with you but want to pop the trunk of the bed, and/or if you have a tonneau cover, you can use it like a locker to store goods out of sight when parked somewhere or parked in an unfamiliar area say overnight, my interface will have a kill switch that separates the tailgate power from the main cabin so that if the main cabin was broken into, they can't toggle the interior power doorlocks and get access to the truck bed. Thieves won't try to pry a hard tonneau cover if they don't know what the reward is because it takes too much time and makes lots of noise. The locker concept is great for friends or family to pick up, or drop off items/packages and you don't have to be home. You can be in China with Wifi or cellular signal and give them access. This was your goods are safe, and they don't need access to your home or garage...although I can automate those too with my connected home side of the business, I normally use my phone to open the property gate, then again for the garage for that same concept while watching the cameras as they do, and leave, and close it after them.

If you have any concepts or custom applications, I'm always open to hearing it out, even if it's unique to you, if it can be done, I can create it, and give you a ball park estimate. Then you'll be the only one with it! If it's a good idea, then you also get reward$ for it.

 

Bout to install bed lights & have mesos’ ultimate turn signals so this is awesome news!!

 

Currently 28* outside and snowing...I just started my truck from the comfort of my seat inside work - no complaints here! Love this system!

 

What is the total for the starter and phone app? Also has the phone app portion been fixed yet. Do you get any discount if you buy them together.

A big shout out to Jimmy and N2 Designs for setting me up with my remote starter before the below -0 temperatures this weekend and week. The experience of putting this in a Tacoma PRO wasn’t the part that Jimmy wasn’t familiar with at all, it was putting it in a 2015 Tacoma. He is a very passionate person about his business and keeping people happy with what they purchased. Jimmy went completely out of his way to make this work, even though he said he wouldn’t want to take on a 2015 ever again. If quality is what you are worried about this is for you. I can still upgrade my remote to my smartphone or if I sell the Tacoma I can keep it and put it in the next truck saving me more money. To sum this all up, N2 Designs and Jimmy will never steer you in the wrong direction and will always take care of you no matter what. If anyone needs me to vouch for Jimmy please email me.

The price is beyond worth it, that being said I have yet to have an issue with the phone application that wasn't my fault during setting up which was quickly rectified by Jimmy with a phone call.

Just a heads up. May need to look into fixing website for ordering. On mobile site you can select items but can’t see the whole line so you can’t really see what it is you are selecting. Lucky for me I referenced my computer before ordering.

You should be able to turn your phone into landscape and it will show more of the options, that is what I did on my iPhone.

 

You must have a plus. I did landscape and it was still the same. This is on an X.
