Headlights upgrade

Hello everyone I been thinking on upgrading my headlights but not sure what to pick? Either go with HID’s or LED’s thank you

What did you have to do to get the rx350 retrofit?

 

@SgtPuddin i think I finally get it now. I was kinda confused on the halogen projector and the hid projector when I first got the truck- I’ve only had halogens (the bowl reflectors so I guess I didn’t know but just looking at your output it’s a well spread and even light and if I remember correctly some of the outputs with hid in halogen projectors they are bright but the lights not spread well (more of a center hotspot?)

That is correct. Here’s a shot in the yard. Morimoto fogs are on but they only light up the ground right in front. The rest is the rx350’s.

 

Buy them and install them.

 

Went with the Morimoto LED's, but those RX350 HID's are next level! Reconsidering a retrofit.

 

Definitely nice being the brightest on the road and still not blinding people.

I went with an HID kit, actually on my 2nd since I bought the truck. Night and day difference. I don’t see the value in custom retrofit housings, but hey that’s just my opinion.

 

I thought it was because without the retrofit, the light output gets “thrown” ?

 

It’s just a wee bit different, the “squirrel lights” shine brighter than designed, it’s not as focused as a high dollar retrofit but to me it’s an improvement. I can see better and in 3 years I’ve never been flashed. I’m happy with the $70 I spent on the kit vs burning hundreds or thousands on a retrofit....Now I’m no Engineer, although I’m sure the few we have on here will show up and let them selfs be known. Unless they’ve beaten the dead horse enough to be tired.
