I would have to bevel. Not interested on getting into that yet. I'm putting caps on the ends so its gonna be fully sealed.

    Very nice.

Quick question - how did you keep the tubing from warping?

Welding on an X pattern, taking my time. Plus the garage was 40 degrees or something.

I'm going to be adding limit straps to the rear as I change out my components and I'm wondering the best way to weld the upper mount. I'm going to be welding a small 1/4" plate on the frame (essentially boxing a small piece of it) and I was wondering what the best method is for the strongest joint. This was what I was thinking but let me know if there's a better way.

Made a longer ground clamp for my welder and upped the wire size and length while I was at it.

I didn't preheat mine either and I beat the crap out of them. They are still fine.

I know this was just recently discussed but I can't seem to find it. What size gas tanks y'all running? I'm a hobbyist, welding a couple times a month tops. 20? Maybe 40?

I haven’t picked up a tank yet but I’m grabbing a 40. Gonna try and run it at 20CFH so by my math that’s roughly two hours of arc time. Which is a lot for me. That’d take me at least a couple months to go through.

Sounds good. Cyberweld has 40s, filled and delivered for pretty cheap. Way cheaper than my local weld shop is pushing them for.
