Replaced the factory running board style steps and installed Rough Country side steps.

Nice, I did something similar with ammo cans, work great for keeping the bed floor open.

Yes. The passenger side was a nightmare. The front holes did not line up so I had to expand the holes in the rack. It worked out though. It was suppose to be a 45 minute job, but after all the BS on the passenger side and the water proofing it was more like 2.5 hours.

No idea when it will be here. Paid $822 under MSRP, I wonder how much further under MSRP I could have got had I not settled there. Oh well, I'm pretty stoked about it. I'm a wildlife and nature photographer and travel for it. After breaking the oil pan on the adventure wagon (2017 Golf Sportwagen 6MT AWD) in Montana last year I knew it was time to get serious about a vehicle. Only things I plan on doing to it are putting a cap on and adding my tent to the top of that but who knows what the future will bring with it. I was going to add the factory roof rails, but decided I can just throw my old Yakima towers up there in the door sills. Anyway, looking forward to being part of the group.

I just bit the bullet and bought a box of these and a bit. If you use a socket head bolt and locking nut mounting the light bracket to the hood bracket, then no one can get to it unless they remove the light from the light bracket. And unless they have that crazy bit it ain't gonna happen.

I cannot stand paying $30 for $3 of hardware.

Have you looked into the ECGS mod?? The sound you describe is similar to what most people say.. I had the same issues with my old truck and it drove me crazy. It was my needle bearing. I know you say it’s the rear but.... sometimes it’s hard to tell. If you haven’t already done it.. it would be fairly cheap to rule it out if you do the work yourself.

Installed the Gashole device. Pretty cool little gizmo.

Also installed REK GEN mudflaps. Easy install. Appears to be a quality product.

Do then pro center caps fit those wheels? I mean obviously they are on there but I didn’t know that. That’s a damn good looking truck

If you used the blue bottle you’re fine. You might actually like the way it turns out. I use that stuff all the time. Great stuff!

A guy was asking $800 they were lightly used and I got him down to $500! When I met him he was a cool guy in a badass Tacoma and I could tell he didn’t want to let them go. So I gave him another $100 without him asking for it!

Any chance you can post a photo of the inside of the front flap?

Two posts up, I’m rocking Rek Gen flaps, so that’s what the side profile looks like.
