tacoma wheels.jpg Found a set of these wheels from a 16 taco. They are 16" with sensors and center caps. I have 17's on my 16 trk. What all would I have to up date if I went from 17" to 16" wheels, anything need reprogramed.. Haven't bought them yet. They are 550.00, is it worth it?
    thanks

As long as the overall diameter of the 16" tires are pretty close to what you currently have I doubt if you'd have to do anything. The odometer/speedometer should be close enough. I can't be 100% certain the TPMS would be the same, but would feel pretty confident it is.

For example, I have 265/75/16's on my truck. A set of 265/70/17's are within a tiny fraction of an inch of being the same diameter and width.

$550 may be fair for those wheels, but it is pricey for a 16" wheel that is comparably narrow with a higher offset.

A few hundred more and you could be into the SEMA / 4Runner Pro wheels that are exceedingly popular around here/

That's the most I've seen for those rims. Usually run around 400 or more if they come with tires.

hey Mikey, can you explain the downside of these wheels compared to stock? Or are they the same and stock is narrower and higher offset than the 4runner pros?
