Do any of you go out somewhere and here a new song and don't care enough to learn the name and artist of a song because its awful? I think that is what being in your 30's is.

 

Rough fucking co-ed league soccer game last night. First game of new session, and had to be against the team we played and barely beat in the final of the previous session.

Obviously they loaded up... Probably on purpose and with us in mind. And what did we do?? Well... We lost one of our best players because he said he needed to sit out a session, picked up a HUGE scrub that looks like he never even kicked a ball because that was the only way another one of our really good players would play again (the kid is his boss's son). Add that to one of our guys not showing up tonight, our best girl not playing because she's sick, and another girl not showing up either, and it all adds up to TROUBLE.

We got wrecked... The score doesn't show it because somehow I (and I'm not trying to brag here) played a hell of a game. Lost 5-3. Kept shots out that I don't even know how I was able to get to the ball. Yes, I'm the goalie.

Am I the only one that is made uncomfortable by brown nosers? As someone whose booty does quit and has a face for radio, ass kissing is about the most toxic thing I am able to encounter in the work place. I think there ought to be mandatory training for keeping one's head out of the bosses ass. It makes everyone else nauseous!!!! For crying out loud Brian (that's your teammate's name isn't it?)!!

PREACH!!!!!!!!!!! I have that shit too. And to be honest, I said something to the guy that "runs" our team about it... no offense to the kid, but he SUCKS. We don't need that. I get that it's for fun, etc, but FUCK, I still like to win and have a decent team.

 

Right! Why purposely do something poorly?

 

Exactly. I'm out there busting my ass, to try and keep out as many goals as possible, to give our team a chance to win. I don't like it when others "slack off", or don't have the quality to at least help somewhat.

 

Unfortunately, not everyone takes their commitments seriously.

 

True... and very sad. Oh well, it is what it is I guess.

 

Well as I sit here waiting for my physical therapy appointment I must say don’t take for granted that you’re still able to get out and do things like play soccer games or go hiking or play pick up hoops. I for one did not think that I’ll be tearing my shoulder apart and now in this month-long rehab.

As someone who plays sports I also feel your pain when you have shitty people on your team that you don’t even run. There are times in which we had to run six on seven in flag football but I just chalked it up to getting more exercise to make sure that I didn’t get too fucking mad at the people running the team that couldn’t get people there on time or that week.

Cheers and here’s to me getting my shoulder fucked around with for the next hour!

I try to keep my exercising to moderate levels so that I won't hurt myself. Moderate exercise, as it turns out, not that hard.

I don't know if I tell myself that I'm too competitive to really exert myself and if I do I'll start taking steroids because it's a legit concern or because I'm lazy. Probably lazy.

 

That kind of workout playing goalie is impressive. I played in high school and coached my oldest son for 9 years. I would love to get into a rec league.

 

It's only impressive because our team sucks this session. LOL

For the most part I'm "busy", since it's only indoor, but last night was a bit "much". LOL

 

In indoor isn't the arena small enough that a ball can be put on target from any where on the field?

 

Yeah, just about, if you know how to shoot. LOL

The team we played last night had a "few" guys like that... and our defense gave them all the space and time in the world unfortunately.

 

Welp.... Even though I have been doing PT 2x a week for the last 2 months today was one of the more shittier days... I guess we are pushing the limits now a days... lol

 

Well well well. It been two days since I have been on TW .. Why you ask?? Because my last dr appointment allowed me to get outside at work and not sit in front of 4 computer screens all day. Still on modified duty but fresh air is better than office air!!! 3 months in on a 6-9 month rehab

 

I'll be glad to ditch my full time job for my part time job when the part time job becomes full time.

As it stands, I sit in front of a computer for 8 hours full time main job, then couple hours more at 2nd job. I'm so ready to do some labor again.. When 2nd job becomes full time, I'll get to do more than just computer work.
