Love Cooper creek, used to get out there for fishing/camping at least 2-3 times a year, but haven't made it out in a couple of years. Hopefully this spring.

 

Thats not camping at Atlanta Motor Speedway for the race!

 

With it being so close we try and go as frequently as possible, especially during trout season. Always great views to be had as well. Going to check out Wolf Creek here soon.

 

Anyone near Atlanta install their own lift, and would like to help out with my lift install in exchange for beer or money?

It’s a Fox level 2 with aal.

 

I just moved to the area. We're still unpacking and most of my tools are still in storage. I work those days, so I won't be of much help.

If no one else chimes in, and you can wait a few weeks, I'll be happy to lend a hand on a Saturday or Sunday.

I’d like to do it with someone who’s done it before, just in case we run into any hickups. But I might end up just going to a friends house and keep the forum handy.

 

10-4. I've done 2 suspensions on my truck, lifted 2 4Runners, and another Tacoma.

Do yourself a favor and take the skid plate and sway bar off the night before. It's an easy thing to do and you'll be glad you did when you do the lift. While you're down there, go ahead and take a paint pin to mark your alignment cams. That way you don't have to worry about forgetting the next day.

You planning on keeping the sway bar after the lift? If so, you'll want to get a relocate bracket (I have an unused one from Toytec if I can find it).

Those are probably my favorite SCS wheels. I just swapped some FJ trail wheels on because I needed the better backspacing. Doubt I could convince my wife to let me spend more money on unnecessary things. Out of curiousity, how much you want for them?

 

Honestly hadn’t put a ton of thought towards it, but probably around $650 with lugs. I’m open to realistic offers though.

I love the simple spoke design. Just never liked the faux bead locks.

 

Start spraying all your bolts you will remove with penetrating liquid tonight and tomorrow again. As a 2015 and if it's been in GA it's whole life the bolts probably won't be hard to get off but if it's spend some time somewhere else where rust is a factor they may be a pain in the ass and just one more thing to slow you down. It's a pretty straight forward install for you. large pry bar is always good to have to shoehorn your new front coil over in if you're lca isn't moving enough. Having a ratcheting wrench sent for the top 3 bolts is much easier and faster. Use a small wrench to hold to top of the rear shock as you remove the bolt to keep the shock from spinning. When the bolt gets to the top and the wrench can't fit on the top of the shock, a pair of channel locks on the plastic boot over the shaft will provide enough force without damaging the shaft to stop the spinning so you can get the nut off the last few threads. Have a bunch of c clamps for the aal install. Since you have a multi leaf aal, might be easier to just remove the whole leaf, install the aal and reinstall the leaf. 2 jacks may come in handle for this also.
And yes, drop you skid and sway bar for easier install.

Like I said, it's a pretty straight forward install and no special tools are really needed... Just go at it with your bud, You will learn lots and you have TW here to help if you hit a wall.

@marinemonkey does installs and fab work. He's up in Canton but does some damn good work if any fabrication is involved. He's done countless number of lifts

 

I didn't even think about the sway bar, do you usually leave it off?

I literally just ordered some Ray10s the other day.

I have some Aerokroil to spray it down with (best shit I've ever used.) I bought it when I was living in MD with 19,000 miles, moved away soon after so I'm not too worried about rust. It looked okay when I did my last oil change.
