I run the TRD version of this same setup (w/o the UCA’s) and have had no problem didn’t do the diff drop kit but I did do the CB drop kit. And theyre actually 2nd gen parts but it’s the same thing.

The 6112s changed between the 2nd and 3rd Gen. You can put the 2nd Gen 6112s on the 3rd gen but they have fewer grooves for the lower spring perch that, as I understand it, are not designed to be staggered, and their lengths differ slightly. You might also have issues getting Bilstein to honor the warranty if they are not used on the correct applications.

Get third gen specific set from headstrong off-road. Greatest customer service.

How much are you lifting. You only need the UCAs if you’re going over the 2.75”-3” mark for lift.

I've seen so much back and forth on that, that I don't know what to think. I know a bunch of that is forum commandos with no actual hands on experience, but I'm still unsure. I have read multiple threads with people having issues getting a proper alignment with aftermarket UCAs.

Matt here just offering some insight, I wanted to point out a couple of things that haven't been mentioned already.
The diff drop really does provide minimal correction since the drop occurs at the supports which span forward. So in essence all you are really doing is dropping the supports at the cross member which angles them and when followed back to the diff it brings it down just a little. Honestly there is very little correction after all said and done the now you have to drop the skids as a result. So IMO if keeping the lift under 3" up front I wouldn't even bother doing the diff drop. I want to say this item often serves as a, "look, I get this too in my kit". Basically this is why we really don't bother including them on ours, but just sell them individually.

Also the 5160 rear shocks include a bracket to raise the ports where the brake lines attach to the rear axle, so the brake lines are not needed as well. Again perhaps another toss in item that's really not needed. The 5160 have about a 24.5" extended length and Bilstein knew to include the bracket to ensure at droop the lines wouldn't be too tight.

Ironic how they never used to have kits like this and now it would appear as if they have several kits that mirror ours :)
In our kit we include the carrier bearing drop as well, but we don't includes 8 unbolts since you only need 4 and also don't include extra random bushings with a spare sleeve as shown in the photo
Oh and ours comes in a bit cheaper and we do free shipping.

Side NOTE the 3rd Gen 6112s are on national backorder, so unless someone has inventory they are sitting on they are pretty much out of stock everywhere from my understanding.

    Matt here again

Correction... with the 2nd Gens around 2.5" there's not really adequate adjustment at the lower tabs to properly correct. Some people can and some people even claim they can at 3", I'm just speaking from my personal experience. Now with the 3rd Gen's at 2" its the same deal, again I'm just speaking from my personal experience though. Just know that it's not always going to be the same with every truck since lift heights will vary and product tolerance can come into play.

Oh, maybe not. I thought I read that people were starting to receive them sometime in late fall.

Found it. Headstrong posted this on August 22. I thought it was later than that.

We are always in line to receive product when it becomes available. Last year these were on national backorder and once Bilstein had them in stock we got our order fulfilled. Now they are on national back order again.
