Apparently many people. I went to toss some boxes out that were in my office for computer supplies I had ordered at work the other day. Got all the way out there and the stupid trash container was locked. Everyone else was gone so I brought them back to my office and let them sit there till I could get the key a couple days later.

Ya that looks like mine, the ring on the bottom of the bowl where it holds in looks the same also. I though mine was larger that 3 quarts though and my bowl had a handle on the side. This is the owl on mine: https://www.amazon.com/KitchenAid-K...831308&sr=8-10&keywords=kitchenaid+mixer+bowl

Thank you sir. I will go ahead and order the $20 bowl. I don't believe I will ever have occasion to need more than 3 quarts of mixing capacity. I will keep this one in my Wish List, though. Who knows, maybe I will get lucky and it will come with one (doubt it, as it wasn't in the pic).

No problem at all. Ours is a beast and has been in use for quite a while now. Still works like new. Not always fun to clean lots of nooks and crannies on the head but no biggie.

I'm awful about working on projects that I can't start and finish in the same session (@Bigdaddy4760 is going to see my anxiety when we start building the smokers ) The whole waiting for the glue to dry aspect drives me nuts. Mixing this with the company of a friend and the looming whiskey tasting once the power tools are put away makes it more approachable.

I'll keep everyone here up to speed if/when we get some of these knocked out.

I'll have to recheck the PM thread. Did we get some available dates figured out? I have a fair amount of availability right now, though I'd be starting in the afternoon on Saturdays. Come March, I'm pretty wide open.

Yes, I saw a few units I could have bought NIB for a little bit more, but when I had the bright idea to check Goodwill (shopgoodwill.com) it made the decision easy. I used to work at Little Caesars WAAAAAAY back in the early 90s, and we made dough fresh in the store- something like 100 pounds at a time... in a bigass Kitchenaid mixer. That, and having seen that people that are serious about their cooking use Kitchenaid, told me all I needed to know. That old saw about the pain of high price lasting less time than the aggravation of poor quality, or something.

Ya Kitchenaid is a good brand. Even when you do have an issue (some with plastic gears) it's easy to fix and usually pretty cheap. Was looking at a Hobart commercial mixer for the wife at one point but then we would need a BIG kitchen for her to work in and upgraded electric, was a rabbit hole I didn't want to start down lol.

Obviously you liked that recipe. Any tips?
This will be my first time making it.

this recipe looks good..I watched a show and lightly toasted and fresh ground spices are always better flavor.

Just tossed some burgers on to smoke for a little while then will crank up the heat and sear them up.

Update, had to pull at 160 and finish in the oven. I was getting an ER2 on my zgrill. It was having trouble maintaining temps about 4 hours in, kept dropping to about 130.

Supposedly it's for a temp probe short circuit. I'm gonna let it shut down then try and reignite and cycle through the temps before I give them a call.
