You are half right though I'm getting the axles out from under for a samurai

 

shoot you should find one with a terrible frame, but still good body then and make it a nice truck.

 

Got it for $250 hoping I can get $150 at the scrapyard after I get the axles out of it

 

the trans in those are junk, but toyota people are crazy.. you can sell it and transfercase for 300 - 400..

if putting the axles in the samurai the toyota drivetrain would match well, i say it's junk, but it's stronger than the sammy trans.

 

I've had both and I'm about to replace my Falken Wildpeak AT3w's with Falken Wildpeak AT3W's. What size are you going with? I am running the 285's on 17" rims P rated. My truck feels like it has to work pretty hard to get them moving, so it would be worse with the E rated. I will be buying P rated again even though they have less sidewall protection. I did cut one tire, but I pushed the rim into the sidewall while offroading and it was really my fault. They have survived many offroad trips with no other issues.

Would I put Duratrac's on the truck again, yes. But not at the cost difference between the 2 tires. They would have to be priced the same for me to really have to consider it. They were great at the beginning, but as they wore down, the compound hardened. They got louder and you could feel them walking the tread blocks at very slow speeds. Mine ended up being cupped, and that was my fault.

If i were to go a different route with my suspension a little later this year would anyone want my Dobinsons MRR. 730# coils adjustable. Remote resis front and rear and there heavy leaf springs. Dont really know a price and also not sure if ill end up swapping them out or not. Just wondering if there is any interest.
