Just wanted to pop in and let y'all know that we are expecting up to an inch of snow this weekend. And already the stores are out of bread and milk. Apparently winter weather French toast is not just a New England thing!

Also, I'll be staying inside all weekend. I don't trust these drivers in clear conditions, much less snow.

I need some smart people. The blockheads on my snowmobile forum are not too bright. I have a new battery for my snowmobile. Its a sealed lead acid battery straight from Ski Doo and it comes uncharged and without the acid installed. My boat has an on board charger so I can't use that as it's all covered up so the only other charger I have is my Minn Kota portable. The battery I have is a 12 volt 17.5ah powersports battery. It says specifically to charge at 9 amps for 1 hr (which doesn't seem long enough but whatever). My charger says it's a 10ah, automatic charger. But the specs say the following:

Specifications: - 1 charging bank - 10 Amps total output - short circuit and reverse Polarity - for use with 12 volt system with 12V/6 cell lead-acid batteries including flooded/wet cell, maintenance free and AGM/starved electrolyte - 40-125 amp hour rating - FCC compliant - UL listed

My battery is 17.5ah. I'm supposed to install the acid using this special 6 cell bottle thing, wait 1 hr, then charge at 9amps. Do I need to buy another charger for it? Mine is stated for 40-125 ah batteries.

Where we live loses power at the drop of a hat the last couple of years, so two feet of snow with 40mph gusts deserves some prep

Plus I usually fill the wood racks, empty the ashes out of the stove, change the shavings in the bird coops, clean/refill their food & water buckets, and do laundry for the week on Sunday, and I'm not interested in doing it in the middle of a blizzard.
