    I have HID's installed by
I have HID's installed in mine. Protuning lab installed them when I bought so no idea how difficult it is but I doubt it's to bad. The lights still have the dust cover, just with a extra hole for the extra set of wires. The only leak in had was from the housing, not the HID's. No issues with heat. They are cooler to the touch then the stock halogens were.
Light output is great if you spend the time to aim them properly.

Sorry if you already posted pics but do you have the clear housing or smoked with the HID’s?

Clear. Smoking your headlights is stupid. Makes your headlights less effective.

To each his own. I have smoked with HIDs now and they are plenty effective. It's not difficult to do.

@Bobbyromao i installed mine and it was easy. I just used the dust cover form my stock headlights. They fit perfectly. So no cutting of any kind and the light output is awesome. I have 55 watt ballast with 55k temp. So it’s basically daylight for me when I drive at night ha pretty awesome

What size bulb did you get? I’m thinking about picking up a set of these or some HID ones but heard conflicting stories about what size these take.

Anyone figure out how to rewire the led for DRL without having to switch to parking lights? Because it seems like most people don't realize it's illegal to drive with your parking lights on in most states. I may wire it into my stock DRL but they will go off when you hit the headlights. Need to search around with my multi-meter when It comes time to install for a power source.

Didnt know its ilegal to drive with parking light on. All my vehicles they stay on when ever i turn on the lights. But run the led to your head lights. Or run a wire from the dash lights.

It's also illegal... unless you just like getting pulled over for stupid reasons.

Running lights are different that parking lights. You have to have the headlight switch all the way on or all the way off during the day. The first notch parking light is not legal on most states.

Anyone found any good LED bulbs to run in the 5-11 housings that have a good cut off? Or atleast a good white light halogen?

Has anyone thought about blacking out the reflector for the blinker light. Would look way better imo. And possibly blacking out the hi beam reflector. If you have light bars the hi beams arent that necessary I dont think. So was just wondering if anyone has tried this because the reflectors really dont look great.

What? Where did you get this information? That makes no sense. You're talking about the little orange bulbs in the corner right? How is having those on in the daytime illegal? Why would car manufacturers give you the option of turning just the parking lights on if it was illegal. One click is parking lights only, two clicks is parking lights with headlights. When would it be legal in your opinion to use just the parking lights - just when parked? Is that why they are called parking lights?

I've been looking for these exact lights all day now. The black 2005-2011 ones seem to be sold out everywhere no matter what brand they are (spyder, vipmotoz, xtune etc..) I found a chrome pair but I aint about that life. Anyone have an inside scoop on where else to get them??

Did you try Tacomabeast.com - the site does not say anything about being sold out.
