How much does the carpet in the SR5 and higher trim levels cut down on the noise vs the rubber mat in the SR?
Has anyone driven/driven in both over similar roads that can compare?

    ...stuff
I’ve driven an SR5 and and a TRD OR. No difference in road noise. Your tire selection could change that but stock tires, both are very quiet. I haven’t even looked in an SR and I didn’t know they had a rubber mat, but I know that one of the selling points is how quiet these trucks are.

I guess I’m mistaken...the SR trucks have carpet.

    Thanks for pointing it out.

Biggest difference is Access Cab to Double Cab.

The rear vent for air pressure is on the right rear of the truck, the double cab places this vent further away, and covers with a larger rear seat.

The Access Cab owners typically complain of noise from the right rear. I noticed it when I had mine, but didn't care.

I wish there was an option for no carpet and have that rubber flooring instead. My last truck had it and it was so much easier to keep clean!

lol, it was a Ford I had too… lil sport trac but the flooring was genius. I had no worries about hopping in all muddy etc.

I’d of actually paid extra if it was an option.
