Ehhhh, 5.56 gets the feathers everywhere. I prefer 50 cal blue tips, takes care of it well. (As previously discussed, also my favorite home defense round.)

You can legally purchase and posses these. They are relatively inexpensive (comparatively) , because finding ammunition is next to impossible. Unless you reload, and can find casings, or have them made.
Ive never looked into it, I swear.:anonymous:

I was about to say, that round looks like something that only the finest Russian ammunition manufacturer would still have the tooling for.

Know a guy whose family has this big boi though, (with all the licensing.) Had the chance to shoot it, but it's a piece of shit and had feeding issues throughout the day.

Is it an actually mg42, or is it a a re-brand? I want an FAL, but a friend has one and he stretched the receiver under firing. SO, if I can find a G3 or even an mp5, that will probably be my route. My 2 dream guns to own is a cut down rpd, or a stoner 63. The rpd is much much cheaper than the stoner, since there are only like 6 available to the public iirc

He said it was an original MG42, probably a $40,000 gun. Same guy had an MP5 as well, which of course had firing issues too. Old guns, not so reliable.

The Stoner 63 is such a cool gun, same deal with an RPD. Gotta have those with some patina though.

Absolutely. Guns need maintenance. After after the firing schedule that the two firearms you listed, they definitely will need it. Belt feds win battles. That is why they are the coolest

That and they seem to be a lot more picky when it comes to ammunition. It's presence inspired everyone to either want a bumpy boi (rip) or give belt loop firing a try.
