    Soundproofed cab, beeps purged, bed lights, extra bed tie-downs and TSB springs.
    Hi -

    I know this isn't a Tacoma topic per se, but it still relates to towing and I'm hoping one of you knows the answer.

    I'm looking to raise the clearance between the deck and the axle by 3" to remove the interference between my raft and the fenders, which I'll later remove.

    It seems that the normal arch for a 3500# axle spring is 3". Do you know of a 4, 5, or 6" version out there?

    Another option is to go from sprung under to sprung over, but I'd prefer to be slightly more engineered than that. Has anyone had experience with this approach?

    Option #3 would be some work on the spring mounting points with a welder.

    Pics of your trailer suspension setup?

    I replaced the entire suspension on my car hauler using parts from etrailer.com. Depending on your setup, it might not be too tough to do.

    On my trailer the shackles are inverted. Longer ones would lower the trailer.

    We really need to see pictures of his setup to provide any useful advice, so...

    on my 5x8 utility trailer, I just remounted the axle spring over. Helped out a lot getting my wr250f out to my favorite riding spots.

    Electric Dynolock tailgate, TrailGear Slides, , 285/75-16 Yoko Geolanders on Wheelers Type B, SAW 2.0 front and back, Camburg b/j UCA, 1.5" AAL, Ubolt flip, ARB bump.
    Go to your local leafspring shop, thay can re-arch or over arch your springs 2-3".

    Spring over is easy too: new leaf perches are cheap and only requires 4 short beads to weld.

    A shckle flip/extension would be cool but probably the most difficult/expensive alternative of them if you can't do it yourself.

    I lifted my travel trailer ~4" by flipping the axle.

    Older trailers had shorter tongue heights because back in the day, trucks had lower hitches. Now, trucks have higher hitches, and on top of that, I have a 3" lift. I didn't want a 6" drop hitch ball, so I lifted the trailer to I only needed a 2" drop ball. So far its been holding up great!

    Be careful though if your going to flip the axle. We had our rv place do it and they forgot to measure the shocks and brake wires. Ended up busting all for shocks(bottomed out) and the left side brakes wire almost got cut
