North County wanted in the neighborhood of $500 when I called but Deaver only wanted $200.

I bought 1.5" haven't put them on yet. Stock with 3.5 up front looks ok but rides kinda funny. I'm hoping the 1.5 will help track a little better.

Mine seems to track pretty good...remember that the turning radius is a little better if the width isn’t the same as the front. This reason is why I’m fine with spacers which is what the majority of sua Lt guys run without issue anyway.

I remember someone saying wider track width in back seems to wander less in ruts - it would be cool to see if a small >1" difference would be perceptible. Wider definitely feels less squirrelly but once you're messing with a trucks original width that much I'm not sure if little changes would make a perceptible difference. I've got 2" spacers for my truck and I might try out some narrow ones too.

Front fenders were rattle canned prob 6+ years ago from automotivetouchup.com.
For the rear:HF HVLP spray gun and color matched from Kearny Mesa Auto Paint Supplies.

No prep other then a wipe down, no clear. Top pic was after 3-4 years of use. It's pretty easy to do, I havent done clear coat, in fear of fucking it up.

This is most recently when I resprayed both front and back (HF gun). No prep again, used one of the little cans of paint, half pint? (sorry they are blurry, was from saved snapchat video)

Just gonna throw this out here,

Looking to 'possibly' upgrade to a full float rearend, therefore ditching the Abs/Tone rings/speed sensor.

Does anyone know if this will put me in "limp mode", mess with my shifting and fuel mix ratio. This is all speculation but havent heard a definite answer. Im in a 2wd auto.

ps: I already know about Curries F9 housing.

What do you have now? Any other options for 2nd gens than Currey for fabbed housings especially direct replacement using stock diff and axles? Trail Gear has them for 1st Gens but not 2nd.

I'm like 98% sure they are all glassworks, but Im currently some 6k miles away from my truck to check though lol. The front tires still have a little stick out, so they may be smaller then 4"

Figured before I cut it up I'd see what's out there so I could sell it towards another housing - Trail Gear's making 8" housings for $800 out the door.

2TR has basically the same the block as the 3rz so the bombproof TG ones would work. @MrCrowntown will probably have more info.

From what I can tell from looking at part drawings for the 3rz and 2tr, the driver side mount is different. The passenger side is the same. Not surprising given that the 2nd gen is bigger than the 1st gen.

The brackets on the engine are the same but the insulators that bolt to the frame are different.
