Do they make a 35 tooth? My speedo is pretty darn correct. But i feel like the miles are racking up very quickly? Maybe that didnt make sense? Lol. Or maybe i just drive alot

I'd do the opposite with that ring, drill a bigger hole in the skid to allow a socket to fit on the bolt then weld the ring on the top side then weld a thick washer to the ring.

33 toth was the biggest I found. Also I think if it was any bigger the gears wouldn’t fit back into the original place. Had to use a rubber hammer to tap this one in place.

That would work too but you would have to add space to all the bolt holes depending on the thickness of the skid. Otherwise you could end up with a gap between the skid and mounting point.

I actually had a same question on the miles. If you speedo shows that you are going faster then actual speed dose that mean your putting on more miles on you odometer?
It would make sense if your driving 60mph but your speedo shows 65. At 1 hour of driving you only reach 60 miles but the car thinks you drove 65 miles.

Ok we need to find a 35 tooth ring lol

33 tooth is the biggest. My speedo is dead on per the GPS with 4.88s and 33s. And yes, if your speedo is off, your odo will also be off.

You can get a digital calibrator if you want it to be perfect.

Decided to upgrade my interior a little bit. Got my Husky floorliner, it fits pretty good but some spots dont fit perfectly (maybe my carpet is messed up from age idk). They look good tho and definitely good quality.0FC68C3B-07F6-4709-882D-BEA4F11D6F8C.jpg8F63A780-4456-455D-9E6D-C3A4F442D534.jpg EA31BF89-1610-4B3B-94D5-CFD4EFC68929.jpg also got a new stereo668BDA47-E6E1-4918-9F45-68F738E8E76B.jpg

Nice, I picked up those same Husky liners a few weeks back.

I thought they didn't fit perfectly first either but after a little while they will...they contort to the true form they need to be in, mine fit great now. Hard to explain but just give it time.

Only complaint from me is that my 04 has that little hook on the floor on the drivers side to hold the stock mat in place. There's no spot on the husky liners for it, they sit on top of it and won't lay flush. Rather than take it off I just cut a small X with my knife where it should go through and pushed it through.

I think the skid would be flexible enough to not have to do that.

Well my intake and new fan clutch came in 3 days earlier than expected so I decided to put em on since I’ll need the truck in todays crap weather. Only I would be the one to install parts out in a snow/ice storm. The old intake was pretty shot

All this gunk was built up in fan so I cleaned all that out.

Well, finally got all the details worked out; cut off the new upper and lower mounts; reinstalled new ones in better locations. Now in a much better situation and won't be bottoming out any more. (well, except on the bumps) Mounting points are now about 3 1/2" further apart than they were the first time. Live and learn!

...and here are the leafs (slight frown) when the bumps make contact:
