How to mount a Plano on a prinsu

    Materials needed:

    1/4”x1” carriage bolts
    1/4”x1.5” washers
    1/4”-20 nylock nuts
    7/16” socket/wrench
    Drill w/ 3/16” drill bit
Something to mark where to drill
    T30 bit

    Optional:

    Silicone
    Hacksaw

Set Plano on prinsu and mark where you want to drill. Just gonna have to eyeball this part

    Drill your holes

Unbolt one side of crossbar using the T30 bit and set carriage bolts in rails

Loosely place Plano on bolts, and start the nuts but don’t tighten yet

Squeeze some silicone under the washer

Tighten down nuts, add silicone if needed, and trim excess off bolts.

Did you have top take the cross bars loose on the side to get the carriage bolts in there?

Nice! Any problems with moisture inside the box? The one I did that I tried to seal all up constantly had condensation buildup. I have some holes in my passenger side box for running wires to the air compressor and solar. I drilled the holes slightly bigger than the wire and didnt silicon it. That box stays dry as a bone o_O go figure.....I keep my tools in a pelican case under the softopper now. I guess the constant humidity this summer didnt help either.

You have to use the T30 to unbolt one side of the crossbar to slide them in.
My current box gets moisture in it but I have a dress sock filled with kitty litter in there that helps a bit

Genious! We have some stuff called VCI paper at work we wrap airplane parts in for years while they sit and wait engine build. It's supposed to stop any corrosion. I need to snag some:spy:
