I've been thinking about trading in my DCSB OFF-ROAD AUTO for a Access cab with the 6-spd manual. I have a GFC on order and would like to have the extra space in the camper. I'm also not in love with 6-speed auto. Toyota doesn't offer the Access cab with manual in the off-road. I would have to buy the Sport, which doesn't come with CC or Rear Locker. The BIG question is the Manual trans. worth giving up the extra insurance buttons ?

For sure. They'd both be nice to have but they're extras. The MT in this thing is one of the best out there in any vehicle. So satisfying to drive.

You can't add the Crawl Control later, but you could always add a rear locker.

Manual does have a locker. (Pro is what I have)
Depends on how much you use the CC, manuals also have lower crawl ratio.
    4:30 gears.
Try it out. I guess they sell easy

This is the same question we 6MT lovers all ask ourselves. I decided it was easier to add a locker than a 6' bed.
Plus, MT trucks don't shut off when you open the door if you get remote start.

If you were to get a DCSB OR in Manual, you lose the crawl control anyways as it’s only a feature with auto trans. If your considering a manual, get it now while you can. Oh and the clutch cancel switch acts as a “crawl” feature.

Looks like adding a ARB rear locker to the Sport is the only choice

I talked to my local dealership today and they told me I would have to order it. Looking at a 4 month wait.

I agree about the sport suspension. I would change it our anyway, even on a OR. The GFC and the extra gear will be too heavy for any stock suspension.

I'd look around yourself as well. My local dealer is totally useless for anything other than test-drives and brochures (and they are usually out of brochures).

Is there an easier way than checking each dealerships website ? Would like to search a broader field.

YES. but only if you love MT driving. otherwise save it for someone who does (just my opinion, man..)

CC is kinda silly and OR's & Pros have rear lockers.
