I'm wondering if anyone removed the rear seats and console from a 09. I'm trying to gain more room for my dog and since I've never used the rear for anything other then cargo I'd be interested in doing it. However if I need to do any permanent damage I'll come up with some other solution. If so, photos would be great!

What do you mean by console, the center or is there one in the rear?

Its the first thing I tore out of this truck right after purchase. Useless feature. Jump seats just unbolt, but i leave one because sometimes someone need a quick ride in the back.

Literally the first thing I did was remove the jump seats and headrests. When I bought the truck, I asked the salesman if they were easy to remove and he said "oh, you're one of those".

Xjake, welcome to the forum. I just bought mine too, so we are in the same boat. Check out all the great tips and tricks. The first thing I did was the hose clamp on the tailgate mod - I didn't know how easy it was to steal the tailgate off a Taco.

Stock Taco so far, but plans to lower and paint match handles and do a little interior work.
Hello, could anyone please inform me on how to remove the back pad in a 2002 Tacoma SR5 Xtra cab? I want to build a sub box and thinking it would be nice to just have that gone, plus I don't wanna break anything! Thanxs a bunch.:)

Round these parts, it's 2nd gen talk. You want the first gen section. But from what I recall, the back panel just pulls right off.
