Yea I just got done looking at everything. It seems like the best deal to build, but why is it so much cheaper? Like you said I can roughly build for like 1200 instead of 2k. I think I would go for a 556 so I guess a small framed rifle would be my preference right?

Large frame is $1400 vs $3000ish. A few different parts, assembly, and the gov 10% gun tax/fee manufactures have to pay.

Small frame (5.56) UU kit with a lower is about a grand. Their factory rifles are nicer but only you can decide if it's $800-$1000 nicer.

That clears that up, so I guess for a factory rifle all the little fixings and components are top notch? Did you build yours or is it factory too? I just don’t know the main difference that the factory would have...do they use generic internals for the uu kits?

Again, did you READ the links I posted? In the UU link it tells what comes with it. Everything, including a lower parts kits, except an actual lower. Order the lower in a 2nd order.

Mine are both factory but I have a UU kit in 6.5 grendel on order. Ordered Christmas day!
Main differences are the handguard and bolt carrier group.
Another difference is where the upper and lower meet up at the left rear end. See THIS PHOTO. You can see the lower receiver is rounded while the upper is more stealth bomber looking.
Dunno why it's that way but it is and my grendel will be that way. Nothing wrong with it and how it functions just looks a little odd.
Another difference with the UU kit is you will get the upper in 3-6 weeks (current wait time) and the lower will be about 2 months before it ships.

I saw the little pack of other items in there for the lower housing. Didn’t realize with the exception of a dedicated lower itself that the kit is essentially complete. Damn that’s a crazy cheap way to go. I def can’t warrant the extra 800 just to have a factory one with that setup. Jeez mike you are one hell of a heavy hitter when it comes to firearms...I could barely swing two guns in a month!

It’s worth it, decide what you want, send in the paperwork and $$, and then forget about it.

Poof, one day you get a phone call and you get to pick ho your can/SBR/SBS.

I love my SBR, and both of my cans.

Yea I’d love an SBR but I’m way more into getting a couple suppressors. I was holding out hoping for the hearing protection act to pass but that one died real quick in Congress.

I love my .22 can, I also love my Griffin Optimus (9mm and 7.62), but a 7” can on a 12.5” barrel with just a carbine handguard isn’t the best setup.
I do have to say that I don’t use the 9mm as much as I thought I would.
    I much prefer my 12.5” 6.8 setup.

Yep. It neutralizes the salts or so they say. I use to swab the barrel with windex before leaving the range then clean like normal when I got home. It seemed to help get it cleaner than without.

It's the ammonia that does the cleaning.

Most just use Windex because that's more common to have than straight up ammonia.
