That sucks. Looks repairable. Pretty much of no frame damage it can be fixed.

Body damage is expensive because of panels and paint- since you don't seem to have any and you probably don't have frame damage I think it's not totaled. Should be a quick fix- definitely not worth totaling the truck

Unless I’m not seeing it, it’s not even near being totaled

Correct. The rear axle shearing its bolts protected the frame. Insurance company will write a body shop a prodigious check but you’re good.

They thought it was smart to put the recovery strap on the rear and the guy who was pulling ignored the spotter telling him to stop

IMG_20181116_162727694.jpg Ins co ended up totalling mine that suffered similar damage 9 weeks ago. If the frame tabs that the leaf spring shackles bolt up to are bent; it calls for a complete frame replacement. Of course, that still doesn't mean it will be a total loss on it's own. I had body damage as well that pushed the amount over the threshold.

He broke off a ubolt and the guys wheeling with him told him to take it easy. He kept bashing through the desert thinking he was hot shit and it broke. While doing recovery the axle shifted as to be expected. The owner was 100 percent at fault
