Too cold for me!

 

I've been poking at it for 3 weeks. I'm just impatient. Not a whole lot of fun making 30 minutes of progress and then having to wait a couple days for parts/tools/fluids to come in

 

It's 15 degrees here

 

plus it's parked in my driveway so I lose lots of days to weather

 

Says it's 58-60 rn where I'm at. I've got the heater on in my room. 79 rn in my room. Toasty!

 

I just have one of those dish heaters. Also have my own portable ac for my room. To expensive to run central air for the whole house.

 

I stole his food.

They have always been my favorite body style. The 7.3Ls were pretty much bulletproof from the drop, the 6.0L earned a bad rep but can still be good trucks when they've been "bulletproofed" by replacing common points of failure. The nice thing about the 6.0L Powerstrokes is that they are substantially cheaper than cummins and duramax trucks of the same year. They are a little more finicky but can make a ton of power and still be reliable if you put in some work and pay attention to the vitals

You wouldn't want me as a roommate, not enough garage to go around haha. But man at $300 you shouldn't have any issue finding someone.

 

yup. fill drivetrain, exhaust yada yada. drop the body on. attach brake lines... and thats about... going to try and have alot of the engine bay back together before putting it back on

 

christ you couldn't rent a closet anywhere out here for $300. Best I had was about 8 years ago, split a 3 bedroom house with 3 roommates for $600 each. But that was a steal for LA...not the greatest neighborhood but not terrible.

 

plus diesel trucks are the new ricers




Once I sort out this turbo business I shouldn't need to do much mechanical work. Truck already has ARP head studs, bulletproof EGR cooler, good injectors/glow plugs. I may try and wrap it myself after doing some of the body work
