Need advice on leveling 2019 Tacoma.

I want 265/70/17 tired on a 17x8.5 wheel with a zero(or close to it) offset so my tread is right to the edge of my stock flares. With that, I’m thinking I want a slight leveling kit to give the front some room and stronger look. Readylift has a 2” kit. I’m not sure if a 2” front is too much. The 5100 give me adjustability. I don’t want to go to a bro lean. Rather have a slight rake. Trying to add some style without going full bore 3 inch lift and 285.

This will be mostly a road truck with off road occasionally. Anyone have opinions? Or would you stay stock height. If so would that size tire rub on 17’s? Pictures of a similar setup would be appreciated

hasn't rubbed one time in 14K miles. I don't off road, so can't say if it would or wouldn't. but I have jumped medians and curbs with it and never rubbed.

3/2 readylift on stock OR wheels/tires. Swapped the rest shocks as to not overextend them 20180521_172759.jpg 20180521_172835.jpg

I’m avoiding doing that high. They have some there but I don’t want to get a larger tire to fill the space left in the lift. That’s why I’m thinking an under 2 inch level. Or 2 inch level and 1 inch block in rear. Yours looks to fill it out better than the 285/70/18’s they have on some trucks though

5100 is the official lift of TW. Can’t go wrong with them, I have heard they can be a bit stiff but they are a reliable product.

Yeah I’m not sure if this place will put them on if I asked or not. They do offer 3-2 Readylift but I’m thinking that might be a little more than I want/need. Trying to find something that gives it a good look with 265/70/17. Either ridge or terra grapplers I believe

255/70/17 doesn’t rub on stock and fills it out nice with no lift needed.

Do you think the 265/70/17 would rub? Adds that inch but can’t tell if itll rub something in reverse or at full turn

I have heard of some rubbing on some trucks and some not. I’m under the assumption that if you go off-road with that size you’ll rub.

Anyone know if I did go with 5100 in the front and set it to say .85, would I need to replace any other parts on an OR model? Or would the OR run that slight increase without hurting any other parts?

You should be fine. You don’t have to do UCA’s if you don’t go about 2.5”. If you contact @HeadStrong Off-Road they will set you up good and help answer any question you have.

I had 2016 TRD OR DBLC, 3rd gen Bilstiens 5100’s all around, mudflaps, Nitto G2’s 265/70r17 on FN Pro 17” wheels. Wanted to improve with a smoother more dampened ride via the Bilstiens and level it.
Only if wheel was cranked all the way over and going up or down a short steep incline like between 2 streets would it ever rub for like 1 second. And it was rare.
    Hurricane Harvey wasted my 2016.

Got the same setup in a 2017 TRD OR DBLC. Rarely if ever rubbed.
I did a ton of research on lifts.
Bottom line for what I drive on, 90% pavement, OffRoad being sand/beach and trips out west off pavement that needed more of high clearance than anything else...couldn’t justify spending $2K+ for a lift package.
Then got a Readylift Kit off Amazon.
    ReadyLift 69-5212 Lift Kit
The Ready Lift gives me the same improved ride with the Bilstiens.
    https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00IOYRF6G/ref=oh_aui_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Then switched out the Nitto G2’s for Nitto G2 285/70r17.
    No rub.
I had a local 4x4 shop do the install and leveling.
    Love it.

Awesome info for comparison! Thank you! Do you like the G2? Ever wish you went with the ridge?

Did you raise the rear also or is that stock rear with 2.5 front?

G2, supposeably it has the best wear, new material. Read tons of reviews etc. 65K mile warranty.
And I think a little lighter than the Ridge grapplers.
Real life experience, after putting 19K miles on a set, took them to Discount Tire to change out to the 285’s. He said they basically had 100% of the tread left. He gave me $45 per tire as a trade out.

    Not sure what you mean.
With the Ready Lift Kit it’s a block lift in the back, spacer up front, then fine tune leveling via the front adjustable Bilstiens.

Ok I got you. Ready lift has a 2 and 2.5 level on their page without blocks for the rear. Wasn’t sure if you blocked the rear or not
