i need some help guys

i bent the crap out of my tailgate saturday and toyota wants $1000 bucks to fix it,its a 2007 black 4x4 double cab i have been on the phone with everyone and all the junk yards and no luck its $400 for a new gate and $500 to paint, what can i do toyota wont help and my deductible is $500 with state farm HELP

its bad it bent 3 inches my cousin had the gate to try and fix it but he said its junk

 

Considering the year of your truck I'm thinking you're past the TSB deadline. Maybe you can check to see if anyone that has a tire gate that can sell their stock to you if color matches.

 

Where are you located? Someone on here may be able to help a bit more if we know where we are looking.

i had no idea it was so thin, it bent when i loaded my 450R ATV and im only 180 pounds well after it bent i came to TACOMAWORD for help

 

I've seen a few pop up on Craigslist here in Portland, you might check there. I'd guess they are probably stolen though.

 

If you can't afford it right now suck it up and buy a net or just go with out it for awhile.........................just trying to help..................

 

Do u let your 450r sit on the tailgate while hauling it? Just curious cause I load my 700xx in my 06 and I weigh about the same as you. I haven't noticed any damage to mine, but I have a long bed? Btw I'll call some junk yards by me and see if they have any gates. I only live about 3hrs from you.

no it was when i rode it up the ramps thats when it bent , and im a CATS fan i hate Louisville i live in Bullitt county its south of louisville,

 

Bullitt bourbon! I found a few on fleabay! Check it out. I didn't have any Luck finding one at a local junk yard near me. One guy did say he might have one tomorrow or Saturday? I'll check back with him.
