Nice! I was so on the fence about the 9 or the 45. I shot both and didn’t do as well with the 45 due to it being more snappy on the recoil. I came from a Sigg RCS 45 1911 so I wanted to keep the stopping power of the 45 but ended up going with the 9 because I figured that a better shot with a 9 is going to do me better than a terrible shot with a 45 haha.

What's it like squeezing off rounds in a .44 mag snubby? I Like the idea of those ballistics in a carry package but wonder about the claims that the 460 Rowland can match it with less recoil/flip.

It depends on the load. When I am shooting my grizzly load with 300 plus grain hard cast bullets loaded hot, it's a beast! If shooting factory 44 loads its bearable. The Alaskan is very wide in the frame and barrel to give it extra weight. It helps tame it down but it still bites with heavy bear loads.i have no experience with the .460.

Firing a snub nose 44 mag in tight quarters without hearing protection would be brutal. I'll bet it's not too far off of the effect of a flash bang. Something to consider if carrying one.

My post above was a bit tounge in cheek. I have only carried this, fully exposed in a drop leg holster, while bow hunting in areas with Grizzlies. I would never think of trying to conceal this behemoth.

And yes, with no hearing protection it would be loud, but better than being eaten by a bear.

How much of a handful is that lcr with .357? I've shot a .22 in lcr and it was the best DA trigger on a gun that size... Well probably on any gun I had shot to be honest. But I carry a big .357 and I don't think I would want much smaller of a gun with that round

It's got some stampings that I believe indicate it was refurbished by the Gov't, possibly even twice.

    The handles are real stag.

It is either my Walther P99AS (.40 S&W) or my Walther P99c AS (9mm). It depends on the weather and what I am wearing.
