No it does not, only OR and Pro Manuals get it.

Wow then I wouldn’t even consider a sport if that’s the case OP. You want Atrac/clutch start cancel.

I think the sport 4x4 with a rear air locker will still do very well off-road.

Just putting in my 02 here. If you're buying a manual, you won't get CC. If you're buying a manual, you shouldn't care about CC to begin with. However, I would recommend not giving up the locking rear diff. You also get A-TRAC which is basically a locking front mechanism where the brains of the truck use the brakes to modulate power to the front tire that is slipping. Having a factory rear diff locker is probably one of the most valuable things you can get in these trucks. Again, my opinion. Pretty much everything else can be had aftermarket with ease. Retrofitting a rear diff locker will cost you a bunch of money even if you go with a 3rd party option like ARB (air compressor, installation, etc...).

Your right, it can do a lot. But having the Atrac apply brakes to certain wheels to help dig you out of situations can be invaluable. And not to mention the factory locker. Like mentioned above, adding a locker is extensive, can cost in the thousands and pretty much negates all kinds of warranty. That’s not even counting the fact that the sport feels stiffer in the highway. Drive both at your local dealer and you’ll see how comfortable the OR feels on the highway as it soaks up a lot of road imperfections. For 1/5 of the cost of adding just the locker, you can buy a brand new scooped hood if you care for that.

But if your truly set on a ACLB with a MT, sport is your only option, and get what you truly want, regardless of our opinions and advice. Life’s to short to get what other people want. Good luck OP and post pictures of your MT Taco when you snatch it up!

You can put in an ARB rear locker and have onboard air too, about $2000

CC seems like kind of a gimmick anyway doesn't it? Kind of like getting to "fly" a plane that's on auto-pilot...

Thanks for all the replies, this forum is great. I agree about CC, not really needed. I really need to decide if I want to spend the extra money installing the rear locker. Hell, I'm not even sure it's needed, My 88' goes everywhere I've needed without a locker. I would install the air compressor myself and I'm in the tool business so I know a few of guys capable of installing the locker. It sucks Toyota doesn't allow more options.

Bought a DCSB TRD Sport 6spd. (Wanted OR for the rear locker but got a good deal at dealer for the Sport so pulled the trigger) Planning on installing 4.88 gears with ARB lockers (front & rear) so planned on this upgrade cost when I bought the truck.

East Coast Gear Supply sells pre-assembled gears plus ARB locker front & rear for $3500 plus core charge. Obviously less cost if just going with a rear locker.

Although I hear CC is awesome feature in the AT, I think it takes the fun out of Off-roading. The MT was the main feature that attracted me to the Taco and so glad I did!

Not sure if it was already mentioned but you also get 4.30 gears with the Manual. Doesn't really make sense that they cut the ACOR Manual from the US market.

Does Toyota change options form year to year ? Wonder if the ACOR Manual will be available in the 2020.

I say just get a manual OR DCSB. You get a manual and a warrantied locker. The length of bed is really not even that big of a deal unless you constantly haul large items. In that case there are options such as bed extenders etc. Kayaks no issue. I have a 12’ with a hitch extended and I can haul three kayaks very easily. Mine is a 12’ and two 10’ smaller kayaks. All sit on top so they are pretty wide also. I just couldn’t justify worrying about a long bed since 99% of the time a short bed will do the trick. Just my $.02.

I was in the same boat as you. Even had the paperwork ready. But at the last minute kept my auto. I didn’t want to lose the access cab and the tech package.

It’s mt first auto ever. I appreciate the auto in traffic and it’s easier off road. Plus I would have lost 5k in the deal.

Thankfully ov tune is coming out with gear lock so I can pretend it’s a manual.
