So i absolutely scored a brand new set of wheels and tires from a 2019 tacoma for $250! I currently have an sr5 with steel wheels and 245/75/16r....these new wheels are the stock v6 size so same height but 1 inch wider. should I save them until i need new tires or say yolo and slap the new wheels on my truck?

WTF... you haven’t already changed them? If you are financially concerned, then run the old set until tread depth requires change, then put on new set... otherwise, what are you waiting for?

Hit yourself over the head with a tire iron if you didn't already put them on your truck.

You can use the TPMS sensors from the steelies, just need to turn them (180 degrees?).

    Nice find

Sweet deal! That’s the lowest price I’ve seen. Best price here in Portland was $400 and often people ask up to $1000 on Craigslist. Enjoy

Exactly what I would do. I have two sets of tires and wheels for my f1shitty. Put the stock ones on in the winter.

Wife wants two sets for the new taco. I said wait till spring.

well damn now ill be debating putting on my steelie tmps and rotating them 180 to fit but there is a possibility they won't work....or i can just go old school and use rubber stems and live with the tire light.

Do it once and do it right. I wouldn't want a permanent dash light on an '18 model truck. But this is just one man's opinion. Great find tho!

I never have ever considered the TPMS to be a safety feature. They are more to help Toyota maintain their MPG numbers that they report corporate wide.

Save some headache and just make a pressure canister and put the sensors in the canister and pressure it up. Zip tie the canister to the spare tire or similar location and forget about the TPMS system.

The ECU for the system does not care where the sensors are located.
