Someone recommend me a slide for my Gen 4 17 that is optics ready...prefer complete but can probably do a stripped

Or am I better off buying an MOS and replacing my gray frame 17 non MOS?

Looking to put a Leupold Deltapoint Pro on

    Sure do

But all these slides I'm seeing are the same, if not more than a new pistol and I KNOW what I'm getting with the MOS glock

I need people who've bought a slide and can justify the cost to me

I couldn’t ever justify the cost of a complete new slide, so I just had my factory slides modified to my liking. Can cost $75 for a simple RMR cut to $300 for a full custom job.

Here are a few pics of my G35. Slide was done by Boogeyman customs. It has a Zev 9mm conversion barrel, mag well, mag release, and Fulcrum ultimate trigger. The color is Tungsten with 20% Graphite Black added. I did all the frame work myself.

I usually don't care much for the highly modded Glocks but that looks clean.

When using the zev barrel, are there any other parts that need to be changed for reliable function? Thought I read that the extractor needs to be swapped as well.

I don't have either, but me I think I'd just have the slide I own milled out, instead of spending half the price of a glock for just a slide, or spending whole price of a glock for a newer glock.

It worked as is, but ejected almost strait up. You can install a 9mm ejector, but I just bent my original very slightly until it ejected properly. its only $7-8 for a new one though.

I'll be honest...I'm uncomfortable doing that for a variety of reasons

    1. This is my go to at home pistol. I don't want it down long
    2. If something goes wrong or I'm not happy with the results, I still have to spend the money
    3. I've seen or heard a few horror stories and I just don't like the risk

Thanks! Been wanting to switch too. So the ejector is different, but the extractor is the same? Curios.

I used a wolf barrel (9mm) on my M&P 40 and it ran fine for a range gun, but would stovepipe at least one casing every mag. It was a rare treat to run a full mag with no issues.

I put a lone wolf 9mm conversion barrel in a glock 31 without changing anything else...it ran fine
