I just leave mine on. They rust either way. I usually take em off and paint them when I do fluid changes.

Just like @tacoma16 I leave mine all the time. They will be getting a fresh coat of paint this year to clean them up a bit.

I’ve done that mod on my 15 taco before, couple phillips screws and pull it up, drill a hole for usb plug and wire it up. I also took my center console off on 3rd gen and it’s the same 2 screws.

Saw an all black 2019 trd pro today. Some trophy wife in my town owns it. I wish I was a trophy wife.

Also was clearing snow from 2am-1:00pm. I’m gassed.

in the center console. open the lid, remove the bottom carpet thinger and there are some there. should be able to remove the entire center console. at least in the 2nd gen you can. In the 2nd gen I think there are some screws or bolts under the cup holders maybe and under the shifter bezel? once you start poking around its pretty easy to figure out

Pulled my stick a few times and wiped it down, is this normal? I’ve never personally changed the oil on my truck but I understand how it’s done and that volume out = volume in to maintain same oil pressure. It looks a little low but small streaks upwards from the tube holding stick I assume. Does this look good or bad?

I replaced the oil filter though because there was a fram on their before, I put a Napa gold in. I put the volume of oil that wasn’t in the filter back in the engine, oiled the gasket as well. I also added a little oil stabilizer as well.

I know between the two dots on the stick is where it’s supposed to be but it’s hard for me to tell where it ends and where I may have just picked up oil on the inside of the tube
